I would have thought that brokers would simply create software which would calculate automatically your existing CGT status whether below or above the allowance. It wouldn't be difficult and they could make more money by charging you a small fee.

Am I missing something? I would have thought that when companies submit their bids they have finalised the development of technology in their SMR model.

I don't believe tenders submitted can be fully trusted. How many projects in the UK and elsewhere have seen 'costs' increased. The most obvious and recent one is HS2 where billions more have been added.

Would it be a tactical for American companies to submit a low prices then add...?

Sure, the demand for single aisle planes are increasing but it has been shown, especially in China, that with the volume of passengers growing for short journeys, wide body aircraft is more economical rather than more narrow body aircraft.

Well, for me it was a bit of a struggle understanding the financial lexicon expressed by everyone at this meeting.

Two of our concerns - dividend and SMR were not really expanded upon by both questionnaires and the CEO but because of that, their confidence was overwhelming and these two issues are not in any way, a problem. Things will even get better!
