CEO of Airbus... "Although Airbus had expressed concerns about the UK leaving the European Union, Faury said it had "turned the page" on its public opposition to Brexit. He told the audience that Airbus was still building all of its wings in Wales and relied heavily on engine maker Rolls-Royce, adding, "we don't intend to change this." Reuters also reported that Faury later met with UK Prime Minister Liz Truss and Secretary of State for Business Jacob Rees-Mogg." https://simpleflying.com/airbus-ceo-full-recovery-2024/
RR promoting their SMR in their front page. I wonder if this is an appeal to the govt or an advance notice of the govt. announcement.... https://www.rolls-royce.com/#section-modules
The track of today's SP is much more stable and ascending - a good sign at long last, I hope :) BTW, when Boris leaves number 10 watch out for the possible appointment of him with EDF as some sort of consultant.
Given the fearful reaction from some on here we could see an initial fall in the SP but sooner rather than later you'll see a substantial bounce back into the green area. The report is a neutral one and NOT a negative one.
When I read all these comments about the CEO they remind me of fans reaction to a new managerial appointment to their football club. Remember, Warren East remains on the BOD. He is not running away and will positively contribute towards advice to the new CEO.
From what I can see there is no obvious sign/news which reflects RR fall. Maybe the sale of aircraft which holds RR engines at Farnborough was disappointing. In the last couple of days and in each hour I am wrongly anticipating the bounce so heavens knows when that will occur. For many the only change in RR's downturn is the new CEO but I don't rate that.
