RE: The Decline20 Jun 2024 02:38
There is no chance of Newmont keeping Telfer, and Havieron is the sweetener, the decision has been made by Newmont BOD.
This may explain why large companies devest of good assets, as Tom stated.

The decision to mine had to be taken by Newcrest before work on the decline, subject to a successful construction of the decline, but this is not the 'Official decision' permissions were for exploration, but it requires the FS. You cannot decide to Mine an asset that you will not own, it is illogical, so the actual decision to mine has to come after the transfer of the asset.
I think the FS draft may be with Greatland for checking, but it will not be issued until the partners in the JV agree, and that logically is after or at the time of the transfer of the assets involved.
I use the works carefully 'Transfer of Assets' as due to the right of last refusal, the consideration may be minimal.
PS a better thread but still some are feeding the animals., stop it and they die.
