I try to stay objective even though I’m invested. Also, it is more of a trade than an investment - I plan to be out on or before spud. I am wary of all the rampy nonsense talked about the prospects here and am happy to leave the drill result to the real gamblers.

I have been fully loaded here for a while and have no intention of buying any more because that would leave me overweight in what is hardly a risk-free proposition (even when you’re only trading the pre-drill excitement).

According to Marine Traffic it is still moored. I would wait for its status and destination to change on there before counting any chickens.

If the exploration well goes ahead there will be a significant rise to reflect the removal of this new uncertainty. If it doesn’t, we will find out what the ex-CERP assets are really worth (unfortunately). Right now though it is reasonable to expect the exploration well to go ahead.

Where are they? Who is posting on here in support of the potential legal action or in support of the potential actions of the Rainbow Warrior? As I have just said to xxxyyyzzz, all I have seen is the odd meaningless “this is going to 1.5p” post. That’s it.

Anything is possible but this drop seems more likely to be related to the legal challenge, which may turn out to be no more of a threat than the Rainbow Warrior. Selling into Tuesday’s RNS would have been a smart move but that’s hindsight for you - at that point the only cloud on the horizon was the Rainbow Warrior and it was easy to take a view on that. Not looking to top up because the last time BPC was in the mid-2s I was already fully loaded. I am certainly not selling. For me the pre-drill excitement trade remains an absolute belter, even with this additional risk.

Time will tell though (perhaps quite soon). It is interesting and could affect sentiment (both ways - both if something happens and then when it stops happening), but I am holding tight. The Rainbow Warrior was a great spot by blissful.

Most folk realised that - that is why the consensus on here for a best case result has lately been 20-40p. Only a few uber-rampers were ever talking about £2.50 or the like.

Right now it looks as if the first interaction is going to be at Las Palmas.

is “Underway using Engine” headed straight for Las Palmas. It should become clear fairly soon what it’s up to. Nothing on the Greenpeace or Rainbow Warrior Twitter accounts but then there wouldn’t be, would there, not until it’s in place anyway.
