The CPR is really not what the market is focused on right now.

I think we would have been better to let the Company respond, or not, as it saw fit. This article has given P1’s opponents something of a free hit. Impugning people’s motives is a bad enough habit on a bulletin board but doing it out in the real world can be counterproductive, as I think this article demonstrates.

The IceMAX has positioned itself for an easy departure (it’s much harder to blockade at anchor in the open sea than in port) but it’s not yet on its way to the Bahamas. Once it is on its way, the main event will have begun. The CPR is just a sideshow.

Not sure it’s that simple. Yes, they could be taking the view that no response is necessary but maybe they struggled to put together a response that was sufficiently reassuring. There isn’t much more to be said right now. I’m just waiting to see what the IceMAX does and will take it from there. I’ll also be keeping an eye on the RW, but that may turn out to be a bit of a sideshow.

Keep posting, not just to surprise Findme but because you make good points. As I have already said, it would have been nice to have had a clear, not necessarily comprehensive but at least clear, response from BPC to this news (news which currently has the share price at least 1p below where it would be otherwise). What did you make of the contribution to the debate from James Smith? To me this came across as somewhat random and unfocused. He may have been speaking for himself rather than BPC, but why did BPC not get in first? I will be disappointed if there is not an RNS from BPC tomorrow morning that addresses the threatened legal challenge.
