I think macro factors will kick this northwards pretty soon - WTI certainly seems to have the wind in its sails.

Thought this would have made more of a move yesterday, even with the gold price where it is. Maybe today.

“May” because for those who decide to wait for the drill result, nothing is guaranteed. Not that the pre-drill excitement trade is guaranteed either, but it is a great deal less risky and still surprisingly rewarding. WTI is certainly adding value to it right now.

A significant proportion of what is posted on here is rampy nonsense and that proportion is likely to increase in the coming days and weeks. It is what makes the pre-drill excitement trade so compelling. I must admit that folk have gone earlier and rampier than I expected!

That’s my first exit point - a chunk of my SBs are certainly for the chop at that point. If there is momentum though I will see if a can do better with the rest, particularly my real shares.

Even if BPC could successfully limit the dilution at the share level, the price would be dilution at the asset level. You have to keep it real or you will be holding out for opportunities that never arrive and missing opportunities that are right in front of you.

That is a dangerous way of looking at it which can lead to unrealistic share price expectations. laalle is right to highlight the importance of the number of shares in issue, which increases over time in companies like BPC. The scenario in which BPC never issues another share just doesn’t exist.
