RE: Politics in BP1 Jun 2026 09:55
Fortunately, I sold my entire holding at 5.68 ish before the AM debacle.
Having read the excellent article posted by Spights (currently on pg 2 of thread). It appears AM was a transactional leader. He made decisions and made it quite clear who had the responsibility to deliver, and if they didn't deliver, he rightly held them to task, possibly in an angryish sort of way.
This caused a queue of tearful wet lettuces outside the offices of HR.
This is the UKs problem, everyone has gotten soft and think that they are entitled to respect and kindness. They need to be told that in the workplace you dont, this is why you are compensated by a salary. If you f##k up, you find out.
When the chips are down, someone needs to lead and everyone else needs to do what they are told to the best of their ability, and if you can't do it leave and let someone else do it
At BP the chips are down and they have got rid of the man that could right it.
GLA, I may be back if when we go sub 4.60.
