Taking charge of a loss making company would also include a thorough investigation and personal due diligence with the possible decision that the company had no future as a stand alone company. Hi Cassius, I wouldn't wish to raise false hope and I have been saying for some time this is a binary bet. At the GM an officer of the company told me he had bought more. He could have been lying of course but why would he? The numbers attending were larger than at the AGM sans bondholders and there were more Avanti employees there. I suppose the main reason that keeps me here is Paul Walsh and the actions of the large shareholders (ex bond holders). There may be nothing left for us and the same shareholders/bondholders have a second tranche of debt giving them the opportunity to obliterate us at a later stage. This has been mentioned and the debt for stock may only have been a stay of execution. Throwing us a crumb would have been self-serving and possibly a sop to employees. I don't expect the company to exist a year from now because I expect the larger holders to jump at an opportunity to unload at a better price if one happens. H4 and the spectrum have value and it's more a case if anybody wants it and what they'll pay . I'm hanging on in case there is anything left for us. I have no idea of the value but if you asked me to pick a number I'd say it will bear no relation to today's price because those (ignoring Caledonian) left have few/none counterparties to trade with for any size. The daily amounts are risible and even the MM has forgotten them calling an auction if they are surprised by an interest. Our future (imo) will be in an RNS of a fait accompli. Us remaining PI's have no influence.

Kraken - I don't comment on how much I have or my average. More than some, less than others will have to suffice. What is a decent amount to some might be huge or tiny to another. You don't gain popularity by being a retrospective tops and bottoms trader. I only joined this particular conversation because you copied a post of mine from iii and it missed by a mile the tenor of my original post on iii. You get to know other posters on your regular bb and eventually you meet a few of them. This helps them understand you better. That gives you a certain validation and I wouldn't be here if my post hadn't been copied. Both boards missed the point that there was an element of confusion about AB and Double A's holdings. Squif picked it up and I'd rather read his posts than a happy clappy Pollyanna's. I was concerned that if there had been 2 similar holdings there would be little restriction on Double A selling. That doubt has now been removed. I bought Enquest because I liked Jim Buckee's approach and I think the 'scavenger model' of Enquest has a place in the NS industry and makes Enquest special. I believe we were technically bankrupt around the OO and this was confirmed in conversation by a guy from Shell who was also at the AGM. That is why (imo) we are taking longer to claw our way out of the doldrums. AB is a talented CEO but cannot ever say 'basically we werefkd'. He put his money where his mouth is but TBF he had little option and if oil hadn't risen we probably wouldn't be here now. He also bluffed his way out of the 2017 AGM when he said declines were 'normal' and in the double digit to low teens. They weren't but again what else could he say. In his defence to admit something like that in public would damage the price and few (any) CEO would act differently. Every available penny was being spent on Kraken. The market wants a copper bottomed guarantee that we are moving forward. Barclays were right to steer clear. I didn't like their view but I respected it and I will say when I think somebody got it right. It also means that if we're right we should see a rapid climb in the sp as things improve. Kraken you will have to do better than that. You missed the AGM because of your holiday in Ibiza. Now that could be true because you were posting like a demon on the bulletin boards during that period and I cannot imagine you reading a book. I've held the stock a similar amount of time to you and didn't buy them all on the same day. I attended my first Enquest AGM in 2015 when Jim Buckee was the Chairman and bought my first tranche sometime before. It probably was over a �1 but I cannot remember and it is in a SIPP where I only pay attention to my average which is lower (basically impossible to be otherwise). If you have had them almost 4 years then you would probably paid over a �1 too. Perhaps you've muddled up your dates? In an earlier post I questioned your authenticity. I have held these shares for over 4 years and as they say 'you show me yours and I'll show you mine'. A nominal �100 or whatever you like going to charity if I'm telling porkies. You have to match it. You may not be aware but you have to be an investor to attend an AGM and it requires a letter of representation. AGM's are not for all and it does help if you live near or in London where most are held. For all I know you live in the Outer Hebrides and that is a viable reason for not attending. For somebody with so much to say and hinting that they are a large holder I'm surprised you've never attended one. Is there anybody who can vouch for you? A bit of stress testing is not negativity and I think you'll find that successful investors don't believe they are infallible so stop behaving like a yappy Jack Russell and put some money where your mouth is. Kraken Oil - with the level of debt and missed targets it is not that surprising and most of us could produce an argument that we are currently fair value. The analysts rely on numbers and you can **** Barclays off as many times as you like but they have been more accurate than the Pollyannas (and me). I think the truth is that we were deeper in the mire than anybody realised and those closer to the action would have heard rumours around the restructuring time. It is time for the company to prove them wrong. I worked in the City for many years and the herd instinct among forecasters can make sheep look like independent thinkers. WO - their actions aren't indicative of a company confident in its own abilities. The majority shareholders (disguised bond holders) do not usually wish to run companies but exist to win or reduce their losses. They are practised in both scenarios. That is what I'm hoping for; that they exit with more cash than today's valuation. If we go under that is also goodbye to their shareholding. I'm hoping they can manufacture a deal which leaves something for the heavily diluted remaining shareholders who by and large have decided to see it out rather than accept the parsimonious value offered at the current share price (which in itself is what the market think of current management). I'm more in line with Scotty's post Tue 08.34.

GCCR - he was a co-founder and is retiring in his early 50's? I read that as a sacking/removal. Call it what you like; his talents are no longer needed it seems. Saving his salary won't save the company and whose to say what pay-off he negotiated? The only option is for us to merge or be bought out imo and this could smooth the way. They've even stopped RNSing any sales. Maybe they should sack the whole sales team or force them to retire? Hylas4 and the spectrum are our assets and maybe a company with the talent and muscle to maximise them might be interested. I think the RNS had to come out due to Director changes which is regulatory. I've learned nothing new from it and I don't think they wanted to tell us anything at this juncture.

I don't see Avanti continuing for long and Paul Walsh is tidying up. Of course, Dave Bestwick may have just landed superb job offer but I doubt it.

I think you might be right. It is in neither party's interest to hide anything as they have to work together. Orbital would probably bend over backwards and Avanti probably have the better position. I doubt there are many secrets between the two of them and I expect Orbital would try and accommodate.

Just to confuse you more HIS at the GM Nigel Fox mused about the non- recurring $40mio (he didn't say it related to the orbit testing) and said something along the lines 'yes, but there are various ways of treating the sum'. I took this to mean it wasn't life-threatening and could be postpones or treated as a PIK type of thing for example. Lets face it, Orbital will want their money but are also likely to prefer an orderly commissioning and transferring of interests. I'd imagine their relationship with Avanti is good and symbiotic. I'd say that NF wasn't unduly worried about this amount. It was only him and me so I may be reading a lot into his body language but he didn't seem too worried or is a bloody good actor.

Maybe Brent traders are less gullible than WTI traders !!! Not sure on that but Trump doesn't yet rule or control other countries although he appears to think he does. A point in the general direction and a correction if I'm wrong is appreciated. The share price is not worth discussing at present. There is no traffic and only ocassionally does trading climb into 5 figures. The management will be focused on the companies future and remaining PI shareholders are here only on sufferance (also includes employees). The price is zero or more than 11p imo. You can make a case for both. Conundrums: Why is Paul Walsh still here? What was behind the Kyle Whitehill hiring? (his contract with Liquid Telecom was 1 year I believe so is it a temporary post until he finds something more permanent?) Radio silence - what are they doing? Caledonian sale - why? They were talking to ISAT last month - not surprising but was it more than saying hello. A big US influence in this company - the Avanti situation is nothing new for them. We see administration - they see opportunity.

Thanks for the reply WO but I'm not a lot wiser. I supposed one of the differences is in which part of the world you own it. For example owning a house in Mayfair as against Blackburn. Spectrum in the G8 countries as against Africa. Africa does offer a lot of potential and has done for decades but it is just as possible that it will be opened up by a different (and cheaper) technology in communications. Against that there is nothing wrong with tried and tested if you have nothing else. I liken Africa to oil field finds. Lots of potential but as always it's about finance. Can they survive until the infrastructure is in place. The demand is there but not the means to finance it. It will probably be the likes of a Google or Facebook making a drive that will change things. Hanging in with a hope and a prayer. This stock is unusual in that we weren't wiped out before the restructure and the bond holders joined our team. Still, another milestone is keeping them focused (end of June finance) and I wonder if the recent hirings were as the result of a global warming, they are like polar bears climb onto ever decreasing ice floes or there is a master plan? Either there are no sales or Avanti is in some kind of negotiations.

A few here actually know what they're talking about and this is a question to those actually know about spectrum licenses. A year ago AT&T got into a bidding war with Verizon for Straight Path. Is there any similarity between the spectrums of Straight Path and Avanti? Has the value of spectrum collapsed in the past year?
