When OBT start returning some shareholder value then that'll be the time for sp to rise but until they do there's little to justify rise over last couple of days. AIM market is in doldrums so sp doesn't reflect company's real value/potential with every spike, not just OBT, sold into.

If they're being sold between major shareholders rather than sold into the market there's no reason for sp to rise particularly. TW at sh4rephrophets is doing an interview so that may create a bit more interest but there wasn't anything in strategy RNS which screams (to me) 'buy,buy,buy'.

Robert Quested moved from 7%+ - <3% last 2 days. Original 20.8m now <3% (7.5m or less)

If that's correct gfb258 then same applies to yesterdays 6m trades (within seconds of each other) which sparked the rise. I wonder if FS is reducing holding?

Just showing as ordinary trade sells (2x11m, 2x1m), not delayed or special condition trades.

Glad to read I'm not the only paranoid person on here :) Comes from investing in AIM I suppose as it's the norm so you try and read what they're not saying! That said OBT don't have a track record of placing at every opportunity like some.

I'm just glad we've had some communication and hope it's a sign of things to come. I'd almost given up on OBT to be honest, particularly when timber spin-off didn't happen but at least there's grounds for optimism if they stick to this plan and actually deliver the revenues. Keyword is 'IF'. Next operational update & final results will give us a better idea what progress they have/are making.

gfb258 the reason I said reinvestment likely is: 1) The RNS states up to 75% will be 2) Banana, fresh produce, sauces & forestry sections all state it's necessary 3) That reinvestment is likely to be frontloaded pushing back immediate prospect of dividends (3) is obviously my opinion, (1) & (2) are stated by OBT.

I know this will be an unpopular comment but I have a nagging feeling conditions are being created for an equity placing with this sudden spurt of RNS. It could be just change of chairman of course but I'm a paranoid person! Getting some cash in the bank to significantly accelerate progress wouldn't be a bad thing...

gfb258... I know how you feel I've held these for a couple of years now with an average of c9.3p. Today's RNS provides a clear framework for growth but OBT has been guilty of flip-flopping all over the place in the past. If they deliver on their strategy revenues they see revenues rising to c$20m pa but that's not happening quickly or without significant reinvestment in plant & property so realistically dividends, IMHO, are years away but hopefully capital value of our investments will steadily rise. I'll be happy if they make steady incremental steps and keep talking to us. I would have been happier still if they sold their timber businesses as originally planned and had given us a special dividend but that's now off the table.

Positive strategy and most importantly improved communication but looks like the Home Stores which at one point were going to be a key thread of OBT's business is going to be offloaded. Cash balances only $1.1m. Anyone looking to invest/top-up need to be looking at this as a 4-5 year investment as that's the timescales they're using for projections. Projections are for c$20m revenues over that period. Certain revenues have not yet started (banana), are currently suspended (fresh export,sauces), require outlets/investment (fresh domestic) or are in their infancy (dried fruit) so little to shout about in terms of current revenues. Timber sales appears to be building. Grounds for optimism but don't get burned on any short term spike... this is likely to be a slow burner.

Personally I think rise on the RNS BoD reshuffle news is overdone particularly as imminent update is for medium term plans not some sparkling operational update for the here and now. I still believe in OBT but wouldn't buy in on this spike as (IMHO) sp will back to the 6s soon enough.

Surprised by 14% rise as shuffling boardroom chairs isn't the news we really want... we want increasing revenues & profits or a bidder :)

Definitely Imagination Tech that has sold. On TMZ website they held 175,323,698.. we had the 175m million sold @ 1.8p this am and the balance 323696 has just gone through at same price. Be interesting to see who picked up this 10% of TMZ

Yeah -21%, sp down to 2.25-2.5.... 335m sells @ 1.8p. Could it be a placing on the way and these shares have been forward sold? Would like an explanation asap!
