Blackhopper:
Your post of this morning (07:51) disappoints on the front where you associate me with HowardMarks.
"HowardM, you are really desperate today it seems (Hi D14 ;-))
Your fist post is a long, long load of waffle and contains ....well nothing really. Just an attempt at fear mongering with a load of links.
Then you make a baseless claim about seed sales."
I assure you I have nothing to do with him or JJAL/AL87/burning.../D14.... etc. Please do not demean yourself by going down that route.
As far as you put "Your fist post is a long, long load of waffle and contains ....well nothing really. Just an attempt at fear mongering with a load of links"
Please explain the "attempt at fear mongering".. there is nothing fear mongering in my post of last night (21:29) and it is certainly not a "long, long load of waffle" as you put it. The FSA deadlines as described do not apply, currently, to Scotland.
I'll relate you to a couple of things..
The BBC article that came out on 13th February: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51480940
Second paragraph from the end:
"The FSA's advice will apply in England, Wales and Northern Ireland but not Scotland which is covered by a separate regulator."
A post from another BB posted over there by Groucho, link to a recent ************* piece with Sativa group:
https://www.*************.net/cbd-in-the-uk-what-industry-players-make-of-the-new-food-rules/
"The United Kingdom became a trailblazer in national CBD regulation earlier this month when its Food Standards Agency (FSA) set a deadline for the industry to apply for European Union safety evaluations as a “novel food” and also provided consumption guidelines to consumers.
The UK guidelines, which do not apply to Scotland, came a little more than a year after the European Union added hemp extracts and hemp-derived products containing cannabinoids – including CBD – to a list known as the Novel Food Catalogue."
My post of last night was to ask clarification from others on here who may have a greater insight into the workings of FSA/FSS etc not as you propose to fear monger.
As the here and now, the removal of products from shelves etc (which is a great thing in reality) as per the FSA will not apply to Scotland. That is not to say that the FSS will not dovetail with the FSA and follow suit.
The EU regulation will be bound into all of UK laws the it will be up to the FSA and FSS to change/create accordingly.
I appreciate your post earlier may have been written in haste towards HowardMarks and I'm sure once you review you may come to a different outlook on whether my post is in fact "a long, long load of waffle and contains ....well nothing really. Just an attempt at fear mongering with a load of links"
