Perhaps DubleD, but I have been booking package holidays (flights + hotel) with BA for many years and have always found them to be extremely competitive, plus their customer service is top notch. For example, the only time I experienced a delay with BA was a couple of years ago when the aircraft became unserviceable just before boarding. In no time, I had received an email informing me of the alternative arrangements. The staff pulled out all the stops, issued food vouchers and took us to stay in an airport hotel, where we were fed dinner and breakfast. BA Holidays called me to apologise, said they had informed my hotel in NYC that I would be checking in a day late and refunded 1 night’s hotel charge immediately. Next morning we were off on an alternative aircraft. On top of that, BA coughed up the statutory compensation of £500 within a week, which knocked a chunk off my costs for 6 nights in NYC. A lot of people seem to knock their customer service, but I can’t fault it. I know that the pax on a Norwegian flight to NYC, which was also cancelled that day, were left without assistance for hours.
