Its interesting to read different strategies. I went to cash in my SIPP as the markets started to go last Feb, and then went to Gold, but that dropped back as well so sold and then back in stocks (shouldve stayed in gold for a bit).
SO hoovered up COVID hit stocks. Was in CIne at 25 (now what 100?), Mars at 30, (now 96) and LAM at 11, toppped up at 9 odd (now 78). I sold these when i doubled by money and put it in (amongst others) here. I have resisted the temptation to go back over the Excel from last year for the what ifs.....
And some I didnt sell im 3 x.
But based on the above, and my pet warning Halfords, im sticking here until at least after the first Year end after 2 ships sailing and numbers in.
I should also say that I couldnt afford the plan to go wrong so have been cautious interms of single exposures.
I do think SAGA is going to repay my trust, though I must remebr that what was 35% of value a couple of weeks ago is now 41ish....

At the end of the day we used to tolerate 30k flu deaths in the UK without a whisper. A lot of those will currently be Covid. But after vaccine is rolled out the numbers will be within the normal flu ranges on the face of what we know. Europe is behind UK on vaccination but there are destinations talking it up now and so may be a few months behind us. But its measurable now.
I am gagging to book a backlog of travel and Im certain that I will be.

It is Banbury indeed. But you look around and there are stocks have been travelling North for a while on day to day stuff. I sold LAM in the high 20s to put more in here having doubled my money and today its nearly 90 -yeah its won some work but it had been pushed down.
Im sure at some point the trading will start and slow us down again but dont think its outrageous just yet.

That's an interesting point which is a pet subject of mine due to the shenanigans at HYVE when they did a similar exercise last year.
I actually take the opposite view ie that its better to leave the history as it was. A new investor then can see a drop, look at the RNS and then understand and take an informed view.
The problem with a "re plot" is that various other platforms use different back extrapolations that come up with wildly extravagant historical prices. eg HYVE where a RI and consol means that future sim MC to precovid is about 340, whereas some charts show it used to be 1000 + ie totally wrong. SO that was used by a ramp crew to mislead. HL were unable to explain how they got their values as they import from a 3rd party, and when they did, it appreared that a price on the day of RI was part of an equation going into a back plot of years...
Good to have different views but I prefer knowing the history and then looking to see what happened why. Mind you, go HYVE!! its worth a tenner!!LOL.
