Well its a fact that in my example 1 share is 50% of the cake. Whatever currency the value of that 1 share is quoted in is not relevant to the % you own of the cake.

I'm not saying that £1000 of TUI shares will suddenly become 1000 euro? That's not logical. What is logical is that at the point of transfer, the MC in GBP is converted to the same in Euro. Where Frankfurt takes it after that we shall see if it goes through.

The Kuchen is the Kuchen. Half a cake is still half a cake. its 50%. And the price you pay for the half a cake is the currently the UK price or converted to any other currency. And going forward it will be the Euro price converted to any other currency. Not same thing.

Market thinks the Kuchen is currently worth £2.76Bn. When it goes to Frankfurt there's no reason for that to be different, but converted to Euro. The price will be converted to Euros as it is now for anyone based in Germany who buys TUI. Same as my earlier example of buying JEN-transaction is in Euro. MC is different in Euro today by the exchange rate.... You still own half the Kuchen, and the value to you will be the Euro price converted to GBP less a forex commision on trade.

I suggest you pick a Frankfurt listed stock and do a dummy trade. I chose JEN. MC less than TUI not that it matters. Trade was offered at usual dealing fee plus 1% Forex charge, as per their trade costs page.

In terms of numbers of shares, unless the company is going to issue more shares or consolidate 1 share will be 1 share. If TUI is a cake and there are 2 shares you get half each. Doesn't matter where in the world the cake happens to be.

Alaska doesn't need the doors as only 178 people due to it operating 3 classes.

As I said I'm not 100% re if it was on the 8, but the talk about the extra door starts on the 200 when Ryanair asked for it.

So , its going to affect any 9s or 200s that don't have the extra door(if there are any). And if the 8 had the provision then that also, but presumably the ask for the extra capacity demanded the extra doors? Dunno. Where's a planespotter when you need one....?

The issue relates to a bay which can be taken as an extra emergency exit (eg Ryanairs Max 8 200s are like this). SO on Alaska's 9's they do not have this door-so the infill panel has failed? In a quick search it doesn't appear that the original 8 had the option , rather it started started on the Max 8 200 variant.

If you go back to the last dividend times 2018 etc, the metrics are already back to where they were then pre the 2 disasters.-ie they could be paying a full divi now . AV very cautious. I hope that works out.
