Thanks for reply okfn, I've been waiting a while for a price beginning with 7 also but as it's getting close now was considering buying for the upcoming divi. Was just wondering if historically the price drops more than the divi.

Looking to buy also, dilemma is ; buy now or post ex div day. Any idea as to how the share price reacts here post ex div, I know it should be just the 1.88p, but some of my shares overreact..

Bought mine at 4.97, showing a 35% increase this afternoon so derisked a little and sold 1/3 of my shares.

Hi Gold, originally bought at £1.70, shortly after there was a quick rise and top sliced. Shot back down again and used the money to buy back in and gained about 200 free shares. Hoping to do the same again . So just using my original £5k pot and taking the dividends as Income. I am only a small investor and now only have 2100 shares from my original investment but have nearly £2.5k to buy more when/if the price drops again. Wish all of my shares had been so kind, but can't complain with lgen and phnx.

Top sliced, sold @30% of my holding at just short of a 50% gain. Now watch it continue to rise..

Long term hold for me also, average of around £1.6 gives a fantastic dividend. However I am sorely tempted to top slice.

Any observations as to how the share price usually behaves from long term holders would be much appreciated.

By the end of your "break" you may be "broke" at this rate. Enjoy the break and forget about shares..

Dipped my toe in today at around £5.49, fingers crossed! I only buy for the dividends these days so not too worried if I'm not in at the bottom , be nice if sp increases though..

I bought my first tranche a week or two ago at @ 117 and doubled up today at @ 109, so now averaging 113 for a £10k investment. I only buy dividend shares these days ; victim of chasing the dream on aim.

Blue field and Foresight both on my watchlist, blue field up 5% and Foresight up 6% NESF down 7%. No prizes for guessing which one I bought.

Just bought in at 66.41 so now your 64.3 order is a dead cert to be filled. Cheers.

Average of just over £1.60 so may consider a top slice if a good rise into ex div
