Yep £22k worth with an average of 5.75p
That however is having sold out earlier this year at a loss of about £90k after 4 or 5 yrs. I’ve long been impressed by the technology being developed in the field of pharmacy genomics and every time I think of how life might look in hospitals in 50yrs time I find it impossible not to imagine genomic data ID for every civilian not being at the centre of providing targeted medical treatment suited to each individual. We’re at the start of it all. I just hope and pray GDR can survive these next few months. Lths who have supported this company for years deserve to share in the potential rewards and not be shafted but…this is AIM and I don’t really trust any CEO or Director to always be telling the truth, or rather that any given situation is presented with a particular slant according to how the CEOs want the market to react. Big risk is inherent on AIM but with that come big rewards - and big losses.
I believe GDR’s tests will make it to market and eventually generate plenty of income. For whom that income is generated remains to be seen. Hopefully us.
With every day that passes with no news and the sp below 5p the closer we get to a binary outcome with regard to funding: another RF drawdown or it’s taken private.
It was reassuring (kind of) to realise that there were more buys than sells yesterday - pretty much the exact reverse of what LSE reported trades stated- but the volume is still well below what GDR needs to attract a potential funding organisation.
As for debt, how much would GDR need to see it through to the point where it can generate enough income to attract alternative funding and pay said debt off comfortably?
Sorry tkevin but I’ve seen far too many situations develop in AIM companies where, with the advantage of hindsight you just know things were lined up well before ordinary share holders hear about what’s going on. I don’t doubt I’m a little way off the mark but what you suggest is that every single company on AIM acts totally according to the rule book and never finds ways around certain problems that are, let’s say at best ‘shady’. If you don’t believe anything ever untoward goes on between mms, iis and company CEOs then that’s a lovely little world you inhabit. ATB
T Kevin - strictly speaking yes, it would be illegal. Do I put it past mms and iis to find a way round it? You bet. Far fetched I know but I’m getting increasingly uncomfortable - aka squeaky bum - the closer we get to some potentially excellent news with still the finding issue , or as far as we know!
Nero - 'we know news is coming'. Do we? there was nothing guaranteed in the placing RNS and there was no absolute confirmation of an imminent acquisition.
From the RNS
'The funds raised from the Placing will be principally used to accelerate the implementation of the Group's GS Money strategy, including POTENTIALLY via further acquisitions. Further announcements will be made by the Company in due course AS APPROPRIATE.'
Think what that really says is they're short on cash for salaries and would like to have some funds tied over in case they can acquire something else along the way. Of course news WILL come one day but not necessarily as a result of this recent grubby placing. Don't mind them raising funds but the way this one was done was shabby treatment of share holders. RNS delivering nothing specific about income or anything investors could hang their hats on and hey presto 24 hrs later - oh by the way, today you're losing about 30% of the value of your investment so we can have some cash in the bank, pay ourselves and keep the lights on. We'll let you know as and when there might be any news worth sharing. So long.
It was poor. Really poor. But we are where we are so we just have to sit tight for another few months in the hope they really ARE generating some income and making some progress and will come clean with some numbers in July.
So, ultimately MyIPA, why do you think this is happening? Are the various mms just starting to buy shares on behalf of a placee now and a deal already done so that on the first bit of decent news any rise would see the forward selling begin? I'm inclined to think so but IKN.
Here's a fanciful scenario: funding deal already done for say 40m shares at a placing price of 8p. (about £2m worth). Hear me out please. Over the next 5 or 6 weeks the mms slowly ramp up the buying of shares all under or at about 5p, holding the share price in a limited range between 4.75 - 5.25p. In the 4 weeks leading up to the news from NICE on July 10th, confirming Full recommendation for CYP2C19, the sp is let go and goes on one of its more sustained rises and actually reaches let's say 14 - 16p. The placee can shift all it's 40m shares easily on strong volume for well over what the mms are currently buying them and handing them over for which is actually approx 5p. The placee goes away happy with as close to 100% profit as possible, GDR happy to have the £2m in the kitty and even share holders happy because we've enjoyed a rise of about 200% up to 15p ish and then the funding is announced at 8p which is still well above the current sp . Job done. Everyone happy. At that point the sp could be left to do its own thing and go where true value sits with GDR generating revenue confirmed from within the NHS and finally gets going with the FDA de Novo application for RNR1.
Told you it was fanciful.
Personally I'm looking at the time stamp and thinking in the minutes preceding that trade the sp was well below .083. A trade that large would have been worked on for a few minutes because there was nothing like enough volume at that time to absorb it instantly. So, I know nothing of course, but I'm choosing to think of it as a buy and that in fact this was what kicked off the rise as well as the RNS. I'll just live in my little bubble shall I?
Now that is one hilarious statement - Unfortunately, the share price didn't reflect this yet. - coming from the guy whose decisions were responsible for utterly trashing share holder value.
That's some nerve.
?? What, 4.38p??? That's nearly 45 x the current mcap. Look, I'd just love this to go bananas but how can you really expect an mcap of what would be over £80m if the share price was 4.38p?
1.675p I could just about dare to dream of, but only if the sp gets up to about .8 or .9p and THEN there was a takeover bid of 1.675p.
Anyway, more importantly, what is Dr C up to? Intriguing.
I think in that report it is stated several times that even if they do use Lab tests as often as possible it is expected that GDR's POC test would be used something like 35k times per year. If we get Full recommendation and this is the initial outlook then we will be fine, as even at that figure I think GDR would be making several £m profit. Possibly £2 to £3m to begin with and that would be just from the UK market. the US is further down the track as we all know but numerous countries in the ME don't have such stringent processes to go through, plus if it's approved by NICE and the NHS uses it widely then these countries can and will simply put the test in use, and quickly. No dilly dallying like the FDA in the US!
Together with a steady increase in sales of the RNR1 test revenue can get jolly close to meeting GDR's annual costs and with a tax R & D refund of nearly a £m again next March it's tantalisingly close to being financially self sufficient.
I hope I'm on the right track here but I'm hoping that Cheek, Gino and Russ are all on the same page and waiting for the trigger to be pulled and do a placing on the back of a good old sp spike and avoid at all costs any more RF drawdowns. I know nothing of course but we're close to making it I believe.
CAP-XX is also pleased to announce that Keith Siu joined the Company as Senior Financial Controller on 2 April 2024.
Perhaps he’s not a director but still an odd appointment to make whilst suspended and if the company was about to be wound up, no?
Someone called the IP at £30m. Slightly wishful thinking imv but let’s imagine someone is willing to pay half of that. Worth a share price of roughly .375p
I’d bite your arm off for that end result. Just seems odd appointing new Directors when the company was suspended. Why?
