RE: On the fence13 Jun 2024 10:58
Well said RBM. Plenty going on with Mr Cotter, who, for those who may not know, has an outstanding track record of success in this field. As a holder of large paper losses myself, I can only say that I am delighted to have Mr Cotter representing my interests. Concerning Summit, let's see what news, if any, comes on 17 June or soon thereafter when the implementation is due to be finalised. Concerning BP, it never had a lien on COPLA whereas Summit did. Three High Court Judges have made their respective individual judgements to get this point. BP's approach was opportunistic and has not been successful. There's no evidence to suggest they had our interests in mind when commencing their late action. There is a sense that it was a desperate last effort for some reason and not just to do with USD11 million that they may well be paid in due course anyway. You are spot on RBM: patience is key. In the meantime, any additional evidence folk may have found, please send this to CAG or direct to Mr Cotter.
