Page 6 gives a good idea of the grades thought to be available and based on the 3D modelling in the previously quoted sources.

Pages 11 and 12 give you a good idea of the proposed mining, though timelines are of course out of date. Page 17 is of interest in that you might compare the number of stopes needed in production, preparation and development headings with the number we have now. It would seem that we have some way to go to achieve full production, unless more modern techniques are now available.

I have always regarded the Cononish mine as geologically very prospective. As for mining success, that is another thing, but for the employees and local community, I hope that will still be achieved, if belatedly. Mining and geology, like medicine are imprecise sciences!

Andrew, I doubt that SG ever intended to deceive at any time, but throughout it's history has encountered problems and made mistakes that have necessitated actions (including being economical with the facts) in order to overcome and survive difficult situations. All companies do it and SG is no different. I hope and rather expect that this present situation will be overcome and yet another horizon will behold. We shall see and patience rather than stressful argument is all that is of any use IMO.

Andrew, if you had read my posts, you'd know that I made a personal decision to withdraw from investing in all shares quite a while ago. I was 'left' holding my modest 'bag' of dosh, having sold out SGZ at around 80p. What are you left with, apart from being bitter and twisted?

Duncan, I would trade it in and out of Scotgold, not leave it there as a LTH. IMO shares are for trading when you think the time is right on DYOR. It worked for me most of the time. Regards, R.

Yayay and BBB, The geos have been finding gold. Having read all the technical reports, learned papers, seen the BPT and walked the whole of the 1km main adit, I can assure all here that the yellow stuff is neither margarine or butter! It is IMO still highly prospective!

Having apparently mastered the processing, organizing the mining in sustainable fashion to create cash is still elusive. There was once a progressive plan of development, LHS, P1, cash to fund P2 development and LHS. The great leap forward to P2 has left us with flavour of the month it seems.

But hey ho, yet another SG horizon beckons!
