This is a company with double digit growth, cutting edge technology and a very bright future, why would you go short !? If the debt wasn't serviceable you may have an argument but that isn't the case here, Ocado have been one of the top shorts for years and it hasn't affected them at all, the Morrisons deal cleared out a lot of the shorts with burnt fingers a few years ago I recall, we're now just waiting for a repeat :) The OSP is even more attractive to overseas grocers now due to the fall in the pound, I expect a lot more deals to be done yet

Might be interesting when the US market opens later......

Deals were always going to come along as soon as Andover was up and running, it was the showroom for the OSP It's how many signatures they can get now on the dotted line now over the next 2 years

Well that was a nice surprise this morning, I was expecting an announcement regards the Swedish grocer and here we have one of France's top three grocers signing up for the OSP. Casino operate in 8 countries so there could be room for expansion here as well. We still have the secret squirrel grocer to come out of the closet yet also ! I bet the shorters are sweating this morning :) GL All

Ocado shares were up 6.1%, with traders putting the move down to reports that the online grocer could be about to strike a deal with Swedish retailer ICA Gruppen.

The rise isn't big enough to point to a further deal, today would be a bounce on being oversold imo If there's a sustained period of increases then there could be a whiff of a deal as earlier this year

Not sure whether or not you read my earlier post but things are still really at the early stages regards online grocery despite thinking that its been round for an eternity! I remember when the Dordon CFC opened just over 4 years ago and everyone what drooling over it then, now it looks old and antiquated compared to the new CFC's at Andover and Erith, things change fast ! I'm putting the price drop down to the MM's marking down the shares and accumulating ready for the Xmas rush, get them cheap now and sell on the rise like myself. There's been no bad news as such and none of the major shareholders have sold either. I didn't think the SP would drop as low as this, can't see it going down much more but you never know here. As I've always said trading in Ocado shares is not for the faint hearted :)

Just got a delivery shipped to my sisters in Derbyshire as Ocado/MRW still not delivering in my area (Sort it out)! Got a few drinks in for Xmas now anyway All delivered on time without fuss and no substitutes :)

We'll now more soon enough, I believe there may be some good news on the way at last (and bad)........... The SP is depressing currently to say the least, should be performing a lot better than this !

Interesting that despite the price drop recently the shorts have stopped their decline and have actually increased since 1st November

All points taken and each to their own, what you also have to take into account is that the UK really leads the way globally in terms of online grocery delivery and even in the UK this is still in its infancy as it still only accounts for a small proportion of sales nationally compared to the bricks and mortar. I'd say foreign grocers are watching on to see how the market develops here before signing up which could take some time yet I'm afraid.

In oversold territory now, would expect it to recover gradually from here but with Ocado though you never quite know ! Looking for a bounce up to �3.10 from here at least
