I've just checked out BigBasket in India (the largest online grocer) following your comments

I can see they have a similar operation to Amazon as far as grocery goes, a huge warehouse filled with food on shelves which the workers collect via a trolley they push round the store similiar to what a shopper might do, the bags are then thrown into the back of a van and delivered to the customer, similar to Amazon as I said.

I've yet to see any operation that is something akin to what Ocado.com do ? The head boffin has already come out and said they're looking to disrupt themselves with the next model already and as yet no one has caught them up with what they have now.

I can't really help with the financials, I'm sure they've been challenged a few times on the briefings over the numbers, there will be a clip somewhere on the net

Online grocery is still relatively in the infancy stage so it would be difficult to second guess a long term trend, its growing steadily and looks to continue that way in the foreseeable future.

I can recall arguing with some guy about how Amazons robots were superior to Ocado's, when I asked for proof he just said google it which was not much of an answer, I think he was shorting Ocado and trying to be clever and failing miserably when challenged. I pointed out that Amazon don't really have a solution for grocery other than someone running around a warehouse filling a shopping trolley as they do in London which then goes in the back of a van and off to the customer, hardly cutting edge tech ?

I know Amazon have their own robots but they're more for non food items which shuffle around a vast warehouse and don't work as fast as Ocado's robots which run around the top of a shed at much great speeds.

I only mention Amazon because they are the only real rival to Ocado in the long term, they both develop their own technology whereas others buy off the shelf.

Just a point also that only Kroger will have Ocado's tech in the US, first mover advantage gets you exclusivity.......

The meteoric rise and subsequent decline is down to the amount of short action going on when any major news is released. The first jump was the Morrisons deal, the second jump was the Kroger deal. Following both bear squeezes the price declined gradually over time. There isn’t enough short action right now to trigger a third squeeze. New contracts would help, especially with some of the major global retailers right now

Not posting on here much I'm afraid at present due to the lack of short interest which is what originally got me interested here, they never did understand the difference between a grocer and a tech company

If they're constantly diluting to pay the BOD a bonus, then you have issues

They have the tech to diversify, generate the interest and the sales will come

Interest paid has increased by over 100% from 2017 to 2018 to £54,000 pa, its all there in the finals, who benefits is the question ?

Be interesting to see if this factual post gets deleted by LSE as it doesn't make great reading for the shareholders I'm sure, not my concern, I'm just trying to save your hard earned cash from being wasted

You can start to see now why Geoff hasn't got many shares, he's virtually immune from the dilution whilst CCCAL sits pretty in the Channel Islands with the inflated interest rate, what we don't know for sure of course is whether or not Lance is actually a beneficiary from the investment fund, but there's definitely smoke !

No holding at present or short for that matter,I sold due to the constant dilution over the 4 years I was invested and got out at break even thankfully, I would be interested in investing again once the cloud of uncertainty has been removed regards who has interests in CCCAL which I assume you cannot say one way or the other as you don't know yourself ??

This is draining cash from the company, or I should say the shareholders and they are ultimately paying for it by way of dilution which has now stopped thankfully but only due to the low share price. Remember also that Geoff doesn't actually own that many shares so he's not really getting hit in the pocket is he, but he did award himself a generous increase in salary recently !

If (Allegedly) Lance has dealings with CCCAL then things do need to change and quickly, maybe someone could post the current BOD of CCCAL for transparency ?

My post around the early release of the results is that for all intents and purposes withholding the release would have seen a far better position on the cash I'm sure we'd all agree ? It also may have highlighted more expense also during the period concerned, who knows ?

Finally I'd like to repeat that this is a public BB and anyone can post here, its not for the sole use of those invested.
