A certain Brian George Kennedy has disclosed he now owns a 2.8pc shareholding in THG, the London-listed online retailer.
If this the same Brian Kennedy little old Betaville is thinking of then it's the Manchester-based tycoon who built a multi-million pound fortune from selling double glazing and who once owned Premier League winning Sale Sharks rugby club. Below is the link the statement announcement the stake:

The timing of the disclosure, which shows the transaction happened on April 20th, is interesting given THG has recently just disclosed it has received a takeover approach from Apollo, the US buy-out giant.
Little old Betaville never thought Kennedy - who was estimated in The Sunday Times in 2019 to be worth as much as £275 million - of much of a stock market punter but the London market is a free market, so I guess anybody can have a go...
