If it is being sold to a third party then I agree.
He sold it to shareholders at £5 and now wants to buy it back almost 3 years later at £2 having enjoyed his financial windfall for 3 yrs!
That’s criminal.

As a straight distressed buy out yes but not where the major shareholder is walking away with an MBO.
That’s just not right.
He has screwed his shareholders and feathered his own nest.
IMHO.
Let’s hope the media aren’t proved right about him.

It’s not just the price.
That might be acceptable but he gets it all whilst fleecing shareholders.
He has lived the life on the back of selling the company at £5 but get’s to buy it back at £2-2.99.
If it wasn’t an likely MBO it might be acceptable.

Let’s hope he’s motivated enough to get us a reasonable price?

Lots of speculation that the Apollo x #THG deal is shaping into an MBO. Target is the free float. Consensus the number is disappointing for holders and starts with a 2.

No just all trades off book so far?

Suspect we are being held 91-93p while they pump through some hefty trades off book via broker pools?

Double glazing tycoon and former Sale Sharks owner builds stake in takeover target THG...

A certain Brian George Kennedy has disclosed he now owns a 2.8pc shareholding in THG, the London-listed online retailer.

If this the same Brian Kennedy little old Betaville is thinking of then it's the Manchester-based tycoon who built a multi-million pound fortune from selling double glazing and who once owned Premier League winning Sale Sharks rugby club. Below is the link the statement announcement the stake:

The timing of the disclosure, which shows the transaction happened on April 20th, is interesting given THG has recently just disclosed it has received a takeover approach from Apollo, the US buy-out giant.

Little old Betaville never thought Kennedy - who was estimated in The Sunday Times in 2019 to be worth as much as £275 million - of much of a stock market punter but the London market is a free market, so I guess anybody can have a go...

Usually they are invisable off book trades

Yes that's possible but does not explain the unusual look of the book
