Yes the market believes something is happening but I struggle to see what without a 400p plus offered which is a dream but on the surface is extremely unlikely.

MM can hardly offer a return to public markets within. X years as no guarantee that would end differently- The PE element is what gave the Institutional holders assurance under the Apollo deal.

How do you think a MBO would work for he large institutional shareholders?

An MBO is very different to the suggested deal with Apollo.

That was a safe bet for the institutions and so very different.

Surely the largest Institutional holders would demand MBO pricing or close to it to accept a full MBO buy out.

Especially if offered 300p+ from the safer Apollo deal - Safer for them anyway.

An MBO leaving Matt in control would be extremely risky for the Institutional shareholders.

As before it’s purely IG but unlike during the previous bid drama IG have also increased tier 1 and 2 margins from 20/20 to 50/60%

It’s Sunday so everything closed at Spreadex.

But both Kelso and THG tradable at usual margins for both for short and long trades - new and old as before.

It’s a difficult read.

Daily traded volumes are down c.70-80% yr on yr.

I do believe Friday’s trading pattern was determined by shorts trying to close and that Thursday’s sell off was probably caused by IG Margin calls on a low volume/liquidity day. Margins increased from 20 to 50% overnight so long holders were trapped and forced to sell at least part of their long positions.

I am hopeful shorts will continue to close tomorrow but I am uncertain about the relevance of the decision from the council meeting - That’s been known for quite some time.

Didn’t pay the full spread but a partial spread.

I was forced to buy at a premium to the bid price (for a low limited volume) but still below the offer.

It’s my broker that gives me access to their trading desk and so can trade at DMA prices - Used them for years. I am not a huge trader anymore but still get the benefits (kind of historical mates rates).

My take is there was no liquidity with false prices/volumes being offered.

First 15/20 mins of THG trading is usually all OFF BOOK trades as SETS cant set a price as not enough liquidity in SETS.

It’s not Market Makers playing games it’s just there is no SETS market.

Yes I was forced to pay over the odds for volume and actually had to leave some for the closing auction as I couldn’t get orders filled.

They would offer a premium price to sellers so assume there wasn’t enough available but reluctant to just take price any higher? - just wouldn’t fill orders.

This is a SETS SSMU stock to market makers are not really involved - Very light touch anyway.

It was buyers and sells standing back reluctant to trade.

After US opened the spread narrowed but you couldn’t buy at the indicated prices for the volume offered - false offers.

Tried to buy on DMA using algo but every time the bid was moved up despite volume offered? - no one wanted to fill orders despite volume offered?

I wouldn’t usually be so adamant but with the recent momentum combined with today’s volume is still a screaming buy.

No that’s the daily ‘classic’ R2 level which incidentally is also the R3 ‘fibonacci’ R3 level at 86.01p so if we get through it should provide really firm support.

The daily RSI(14) is 68.003 is not overbought.

Nothing to worry about technically.
