As for IG, there simply can’t hedge.

No shares or derivatives available.

Others have found more creative solutions like Kelso.

Now Over 50% of volume on the minor exchanges and slightly less off book LSE.

The Market Makers have always been there but well back from trading.

Now they all have 30k each rather than 10k or 15k.

I don’t believe they have changed except maybe even less involved except as usual in first 15 mins from open.

The 3 minor exchanges are now fully integrated so anyone (web site) showing just LSE data just displays wide/huge spreads that aren’t there.

You need L3 data feeds to see real spread now.

Margins for vast majority (ie all non premium) accounts went from 20% to 50% or 60% last Wednesday.

No new long positions since last Wednesday and still zero short positions at IG.

Only premium accounts were changed today according to poster earlier.

That wasn’t the main reason for pull back.

Just the usual strategy to accumulate position.

VWAP should be closer to final price.

Was 97.34p today.

So up on high volume and down on low volume.

Someone accumulating should repeat tomorrow.

I am a PI with DMA access but I couldn’t trade that volume and book it like that.

I would have been forced to use the closing auction over several days - Only way of trading volume without significantly moving the price.

It would be more discreet .
