I totally understand all that fleccy, just a touch of realism, and none of us know exactly what will happen in the next couple of years, i don't share your passion for vodafone, but do think there's a strong possibility, of seeing a good increase on the current sp, lloyds is the biggest holding of mine, and hoping for a return to 75-80 pence at some point, which will double my investment there, and hopefully a nice dividend, hopefully we will see a good outcome with this virus and a more profitable year

I often think why i initially invested money in vodafone as well, turns out i would have been better off if i stuffed it in the mattress instead, sorry but it's true, you do the maths

Licker, I can understand you saying that, but for those who have bought in here around £2.00 it's a poor yield plus they have lost on their capital, that's the main reason you get big differences in opinions here, plus some of us are a bit grumpy lol, not me of course ?

Fleccy, I Don't know what age you are, but for me I'm looking for a return a lot lot sooner than that, maybe that's the problem for me, but best of luck, I hope that works out for you

Dan, Happy new year to you as well, and all other investors here, my post was directed mainly to fleccy as he seems very passionate about Vodafone and it's future, of course It's up to everyone where they choose to invest their money, just saying where this has been constantly underperforming over the last few years, there has probably been a lot of better performing investments out there, where you haven't lost more on the capital than you have gained on the dividends, but moving on to the future, of course there will be plenty of demand for 5g,6g etc, but with so much competition, will it outperform other shares, maybe, but going on it's past performance not so sure, will be delighted if turns a corner though, I will be celebrating with you and fleccy, and hope it works out the way you expect, for me I will be happy if I just recover some of my losses with this one

For those of you who have been invested here for several years, I just wonder what exactly will it take for you to realise this has been a bad investment , and how many years have you been saying this will come good soon ? a good investment is one where your capital grows as well as paying a good investment, I really hope this does get to £2,00 plus for you though, some of you deserve it just for your commitment here, lets hope it improves this year for everyone, keep up the positive thinking though, you might need it

I agree Gary, I would think very carefully about trying to average down on this one, if you take a good look at the charts here over the last 5 years, I think it's going to need some very good results here to turn this one around, but with the share price as low as it is right now, it would also be a big loss to sell up at these prices, for me that is, so trading announcement 2nd feb and ex div on 4th feb, I'm thinking hold maybe until may for a possible rise in sp ,and well hope for the best really, what are your thoughts here

ro55fay , Perfectly put, I can relate to that, something every investor here should consider, it could be 150 later this year, but it could also end up in the pound shop, as always dyor, everyone has their own opinions of course, £1.50 would be nice though, if it can get there

Fleccy and mole-man having read all the technical stuff, can I ask you both a question, do you think the share price will increase to around 140-150 ish some time this year or do you think it will remain in the doldrums under 120

pfen, I asked you a question, and you ignored it, why won't you reply to anyone's questions, are you a robot ?, if you bought in here around £2,00 like myself, then it's difficult to see this as anything but a bad investment, but for others who have bought in for around a £1.00 and getting a 7% yield ,and possible growth on their investment, they obviously see it very different, for me I'm just hoping to see an increase on the share price to minimise my loss, and holding on for that reason, maybe it would help if you explained your situation, and what you feel is the best way to resolve it, instead of just moaning about it and telling everyone else they are wrong ?

Just stick around then Pfen, this was around 142 last march/April, some are predicting around the same or higher same dates in 2022, I am hoping they are right of course, but we will just have to wait and see, on the other hand if you're convinced there's no chance of any gains here, then decision time I suppose, what are your plans by the way, would you like to share that with us ? best of luck to you all in 2022
