RE: LGEN11 Feb 2022 19:20
Hi Gary, when the Pandemic hit in 2020, I sold off some of my funds and topped up on aviva/lgen and most of all Lloyds Bank , With regret though I sold off my aviva shares for a short term gain after the sp had a very good single day gain, thinking i would be clever and buy it back at a lower price, but guess what it kept rising taking it out of reach for me to buy back, lesson learned there hopefully?, Lloyds is my biggest holding 25% of my portfolio and if all goes to plan might give me a 75% gain, having said that if it reaches my target will be greatly reducing my holding with Lloyds, the banks always seem to be the first to get hit and the last to recover whenever something bad happens, so intend increasing my shares in more reliable shares such as legal and general/mng etc. have thought above imb a few times as they are such good dividend payers, but the fear of big restrictions being put on smoking has put me off, you maybe lucky getting in here at a lower price, very uncertain times again at the moment with inflation and interest rises, who knows ?
best of luck everyone, let's hope for a good increase approaching ex div april
