This was the last JQ licence (central) area needed now can they have a project there that will be a cash cow and de-risks the company. Also means they can expand all the other prospects they have there.

Looks like kefi/Artar still in the running for the massive Umm ad Damar project. It was expected to be awarded in November. Talking 530 million dollar size project if we got it would transform kefi to a mid-tier company in one step.

Cutting through the PR has kefi never been closer to success in Ethiopia and Saudi than it is now. In Saudi just needs the last piece of the puzzle with the third JQ licence which expects within a week or two, in Ethiopia expect progress over the coming weeks as well. People have held or averaged down due to the potential of kefi projects and the breaking open of two new mining markets when kefi does get over the line.

Article actually underplays things with a quoted gold-price of 1300 as gold price now back over 1700 and I expect it to go a lot higher over the lifetime of the mine as gold gains as a safe haven asset. Also does not mention that TK is open at depth and has prospective sites on the doorstep. Mind you main emphasis is the benefits that will accrue to Ethiopians which is understandable hopefully Kefi shareholders will one day get wealth advisors as well ;-)
