If they are buying through a broker it could be when the broker starts US time. This has happened with a few stocks mainly on AIM which can move on US news ie 8am US time a client may confirm a deal, so it would be 2.30pm UK time when released.
If say, Zap&go announce a big plant opening in the US then I guess they would do this to get maximum exposure in the US? Still means its a 1-2.30pm release hear. That would effect the VRS sp possibly ?
