I have long said that the sp is only sustained, in the main, by day trading.
I see sub-1p before the year is out - unless I sell my residual holding now almost worthless. I'm holding on perversely.

It's my fault for suggesting yesterday on the VOD board that IMB is a better bet than VOD.

Yes I think 5G just represents a cost to VOD. They seem to be good at spending money and racking up debt. Risk is that the dividend is slashed again.
I opined that IMB that IMB is a better trading stock and with a better dividend. Next day after that they said costs were well up and the sp dropped.

I occasionally think of reinvesting in VOD i.e. gambling, but not at this level. That should be good for those holders because the sp will probably now go up. I have this power over the market. The dividend is good despite the reduction a while back. Due to its size and infrastructure it seems unlikely it'll crash and burn any time soon.
If it wasn't for the stamp duty it'd be a good trading stock looking back at the charts. The problem is looking forward. It would be the same as looking back at a weather chart and trying to say when it will next be sunny for a whole week.

I can't see what has really changed since Oct when it was £2. There's been a vaccine rally but it's now clear it'll be years for most of the world to get it. Might this mean a return towards that low level?

I admit that I am one of the suckers who bought the line spun by pundits on the like of Matra, Oilex, Aminex, Echo...
At one point Hur seemed to have a lot of pundits backing it and like a fool invested in it, inevitably for me causing an immediate reversal.
Compare with the likes of SMT, MNKS, EWI and global funds and what I would have made had I put the small (sp)oiler money into those instead.
If I sell my tiddly HUR holding it'll go up though.

Well the little rise is good to see. Back in April the NT has a tp of 800 which we've now passed. Wonder if we can get to £10?

On the face of it this looks like one of the best shares in the FTSE but of course there's the constant risk of regulation and govts trying to raise tax on sin stocks.

How/why does anyone think HUR is a worthwhile investment? As I've said before the sp is only sustained by day traders and there'll be another fund raising to sustain the BOD's salaries IMO.

Looking to get back in here but what concerns me is all the fairly recent Director selling. Must be a good reason for that.

Crystal ball says sub-£1 due to debt which can never be repaid and increasing competition.

VOD goes up and down completely unpredictably like a weather pressure chart - except the latter is more predicable.
The question is why buy VOD with its 5-yr -40% sp return when you could buy something like SMT?
It's possible to be lucky and buy a dip I suppose. The risk being a 2 yr wait just to get a few p back.

Dilution is the name of the game for most of these small outfits and the BoDs keep things going as long as possible to pay themselves. The sp oscillates due to day trading it seems to me. I just have a residual holding.
