Last transactions all had the same Bid/Ask values yet some marked as buys and some as sells. Anyone any views on this?
Looks like shorts are up a bit.
Tempting to get in again but this will inevitably result in my sub-£1 prediction coming true. If I don't, you'll all be ok because the sp will then go up.

They probably have little need to care being on continued good salaries at least until the company is liquidated. However all the while it's pumping a few k barrels and can string investors along with forward work programmes it's going to keep bumbling along.
I said a while back there was nothing in the recent rise and so it's being proved. I also said the sp range is simply due to day trading and maybe LTHs hoping they can take a punt and reduce their overall losses. All IMO of course.

Luckily for once i sold a large part of my SMT holding a few weeks back since the chart was pointing almost vertically and nothing ever stays there. It therefore continued going up - for the simple reason that I'm always wrong.
I suspect, however, that it's probably now worth a little top up. If I do that it will of course fall further.

I can proudly say I've ended up losing on every individual share purchase other than LGEN. Whereas I'm up on funds like fundsmith.
I can also recommend that if a share is tipped, recommended or subject to any positive comments it should be avoided.
The only saving grace maybe with IMB is the dividend but as sure as night follows day it'll probably be cut on the basis that it is 'too high'.

Looking at the open today it dropped back to 800 then went up again. Is this an attempt to stop people out?!

Anyway this was due a correction. Should have sold a few days ago when all the negativity started over tech bubbles.
When it settles it's worth another top up.

I think most analysts are probably failed estate agents.

Maybe this is falling as investors 'rotate' out of tech stocks.

I've added to my considerable holding today. So it will probably now fall back. Sorry about that everyone.

I think the lesson is not buy UK shares.
The market doesn't like many of them esp. IMB which most institutions now wont touch.
Just like VOD (Value-trap for Old Duffers) there too much debt and minimal growth prospects.
We can only hope the dividend isn't cut again to reduce debt ratio.
I admit to the mistake of thinking a sp rise might have been be on the cards. It might rise a bit towards payment date whence it will no doubt will drop back again. Those MMs can see us coming.

It's now pretty clear that we had a sort of false rise a couple of weeks ago to lure mugs like me back into the market.
Otherwise it wouldn't have reversed so much.
Whilst we all know broker ratings are ridiculous it does have the desired effect of tricking many to buy.
However, I know that if I sell it will magically go up again. So will have to wait and see.

Those targets are of course complete madness.
If IMB was worth, say £19, then why is it not in fact trading at £19?
It might be worth a top up at around £13. I'd only be doing this to average down.

Good to see we are ending with a little rise. Hoping we get a zig-zag rise back to 1500 in next few weeks but who knows.
I feel RDSB is a better bet than BP although I have tons of both.
Given the renewables refocus it might get held back though, even though it's a fraction of oil and gas and will be for many years. Can't see electric jumbo jets crossing oceans any time soon.

It seems there is more selling than buying. BP isn't just about UK Sunday drivers it's now about future energy and therein lies the uncertainty. Need to look for more upside signals which I don't think we have.

I now think the mini-'recovery' since Nov has been driven by overall market exuberance due to the vaccine and doesn't change the fundamentals of IMB which is that of a declining market and maybe tougher regulation and taxation. Regret adding to my position. Think it will go sub-13. Long term could just keep declining. All IMO.

My setting of 263 has meant we didn't drop that low. Of course if I buy now it WILL drop that low and no doubt lower. What do I do - hmmmm.

I have 100% confidence that I will either miss 263 tomorrow and it will rise away from that, or if I get 263 it will then continue to fall. In years of trading, I've never caught the bottom so to speak - or anywhere near it. Always miss it or end up at least 5-10% under and have to wait ages to break even. This of course is how the market is designed.
