The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
“Mr Philip Hannigan is now beneficially interested in 1,961,577 ordinary shares of €0.001 in the Company, equal to approximately 8.28 per cent of the issued share capital and voting rights of the Company.” So he’s increased his holding, maybe that big trade yesterday was a buy
The argument about this company being some kind of retirement support has been brought up before. Conroy himself is 85 and having put plenty of money into the venture himself he is keen to see a return on that investment. The timing you refer to (which is valid for any aim explorer) could be about right now.
Seems that someone is trying to push this lower, often a big sell on the order book, sometimes it gets dealt at a price well below the bid. Not the time to be selling imo, transformational news around the corner perhaps?
Strictly speaking they can’t buy if they are aware of price sensitive information (2018 drill results? Partner/funding?) Also, if these are director buys then strictly speaking there won’t be any news for 30 days. Therefore I hope they are not
Yes that’s my thinking too eado. All the equations/formulae are already in place in the ‘living’ document. When the 2018 results are added (which will be more than just raw data at this stage) can be added. They will have a material impact on the bottom line he says. Guess he’s already been tinkering with the spreadsheet :-)
Maybe it’s an example of HFT high frequency trading? Key Takeaways HFT is complex algorithmic trading in which large numbers of orders are executed within seconds. It adds liquidity to the markets and eliminates small bid-ask spreads. There are two primary criticisms of HFT. The first one is that it allows institutional players to gain an upper hand in trading because they are able to trade in large blocks through the use of algorithms. The second criticism against HFT is that the liquidity produced by this type of trading is momentary. It disappears within seconds, making it impossible for traders to take advantage of it. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/h/high-frequency-trading.asp
