Manchester airport have reported fuel levels are normal for this time of season, media headlines were carping on about only 6 weeks supply left but apparently airlines only post a forward 6 weeks supply so quite normal just the usual garbage reporting to create a non existent story that doesn't exist. Airlines don't seem particularly worried about fuel supply going into the peak summer season

Sold my CCL last Tuesday at £21.4761 in what can only be described as a lucky timed trade think DT made one of his announcements within the next hour. Just bought back in CCL (US) at $26.74, nearly 10% lower and I have taken out the potential higher dealing cost that HL were going to charge. Happy to hold and hopefully realize a good profit as this war slowly de-escalates

I have a HL account there is no £40 one off dealing charge, just normal fee plus a FX fee 0.99% up to £10k less if larger transaction

I had Tesco on my radar for a while wasn't prepared to buy as it shot up towards 470p and above but saw this recent drop an opportunity to get on board. I regularly shop at Tesco and my local store in Haslingden is always busy, recently had a revamp and I am liking the new Special lines that are appearing. Local ASDA is by comparison much quieter, it also has local competition from ALDI, Lidl and M & S but is easily the busiest, going to carry on adding on a monthly saving plan with Ii to increase my holding

I tend to agree however I have been thinking that all the way down the interest curve and each time we have a 25bp cut the share price seems to respond by dropping into a slightly lower trading range. I worry about the fact they don't seem to be getting any new customers just keep lending more to the ones they already have on the books. Also not sure how much more cash they have to deploy before either going back to the market for another discounted fund raise or borrowing more. I have just reluctantly sold my holding, may repurchase in a couple of months but just putting it on the observe list for now

If I had got in as a new investor when it was under 40p I would happily hold as their is good upside as they pay off debt and concentrate on what they do well, good luck to all, Just left my last Simon Thompson share this morning as I can see it going the same way.... No if I remember I bought at completely the wrong time, just suffered one downgrade after another finally cut losses as my remaining holding was so small even a 200% increase from that point wouldn't have done much. This was my big lesson on how not to invest. Original purchase was at 294.95p 10/12/22, chased it all the way down on a monthly investment last purchase was 90.76p on 12/9/23 . Sold at 45.48p on 18/9/25 ...

Total in was approximately £2500 left with £540.. An expensive lesson I have learnt a lot from. I only post this as a warning to set a stop loss... I have since changed a few things and I am now doing much better on my portfolio. I do however think this loss taught me a lot

Technically I should have already left this board as I said when the SP passed 400p I was waiting for 450p. However although also not a Motley Fool fan I would have to be a Fool to get out at the moment as it seems all news is good news where Barclays is concerned, I'm staying invested for now. As for year end my punt is 470p

The problem for me now is that I have held this for about 5 years, you always feel like something should trigger a re-rating but it never does we are getting close to the point where all the capital has been deployed and then back to the market with another discounted placement, I may try and see if next BOE rate cut triggers anything and if not I will leave this share, probably just as it kicks up 30 to 40%

RBC raises Barclays price target to 525 (500) pence - 'outperform'

Maybe a little more milage in Barclays yet.... I am hoping to stay invested until 450 maybe I will slice half my holding at that point and basically hedge my bets, this daft Bull market could have another 6 months left in it yet but I feel it will take one bad News story to start a panic. May start pulling some money out as opportunities present and switch into Government short term bonds when they next issue some which obviously won't be too far in the future, or take profits and go into moneymarket funds or even Gold as even at its current levels could rise again on a Bear market

As a new contributor (more or less) on these boards I do notice that things do go a little off topic now and again, Only got a small stake in this company so far but I am steadily adding to it on a monthly basis and so far one £2.5k lump sum on an earlier price drop. I am hopefully within 5 years of what I hope will be a modest retirement and I have this down as a steady income stream for the future. I will be unlikely to take it over 10 to 12k in total as it would otherwise be too large a part of the diversified portfolio I have been building. I am small fry in investment terms but I always try to learn from past mistakes... Looking forwards and hoping to spot the inevitable crash before it happens is obviously impossible however one can only try, on that basis am trying to hold around 15 to 20% of my investment funds as cash may increase that if certain shares I hold continue to rise. Its so difficult as I would hate to miss out on a potential 10% gain because I cash in too early. Good luck to all contributors on this board I followed it for a while before deciding to invest

I used to hold waiting for recovery however my new option is get out on the profit warnings... Lost a lot on this company but it would have been better (less worse) with my new idea, at least I have a loss to offset capital gains on better ideas.... On another note I will not be going near any of Simon Thompsons "small companies" picks in the near future

You're at about 10x my average trade amount, however I am happy to note your interest in Shawbrook and hopefully there is still profit to be made in UK Banking the hard part will be when to get out to within say 5% of the peak price, think I am happy to try for 450p on Barclays before I cash in, I play the long game so I like the monthly investment option but not averse to a lump sum top up, lots of monthly buys of under 200p in 22/23 so this has been a great investment for me

Only another 12.5% to hit that target, If Donald manages to keep positive regarding China trade deal then knock on feel good factor may drive everything higher. I must say that although I want to start realizing some profits I think this has more legs in it yet
