Most restrictions are actually unenforceable as most of the police force in the North West seem to be actively looking for alternative employment that pays the same or better. I work on the railway and we have had a lot of ex police in past 3 or 4 years. Now HGV salaries are on the rise they will jump ship in that direction also. Better pay and less hassle just go to work do your shift and go home

Regarding restrictions did anyone not enjoy christmas and meet friends and family in a controlled way last year and now 12 months later any attempt to control our lives will have even less effect. I have a christmas dinner booked in Manchester with my 2 daughters on Monday we all live at separate locations and barring Boris actually closing the restaurant we will be having our meal. We are all capable of taking sensible precautions without constant attempts to control our everyday life
I bought this share in Jan 2020 in probably one of my worst timed purchases ever. As I have a major failing in my investment strategy in that I just hate taking a loss I still hold these. I am reasonably confident I will get my money back in about 18 months as last update was generally positive and the bad news was energy and haulage costs both of which should see a return to normality next year. £1500 invested and I am sat on a 30% loss however if I took the hit then I would need to find a share to go up about 40% to get my loss back. I think I am better sitting here and awaiting the long slow climb back to profit on a share where all the bad news has probably already happened
Might be due to the fact that previous Pfizer was deemed to only be like 70% effective against Omitron, but now apparently 3 doses is good
When we started with these vaccines it was one dose, this quickly became 2 then a booster then talk of a double booster all this in the space of a year since vaccine day last December.
I sold this share in February at 820p bad timing however I needed a little capital at the time. however I am now back on board at 804p with a monthly top up also in place. Surely with all the furore about ESG investing this should be a good long term investment.
Does anyone worry that with the reported strong pipeline of potential royalty partners yet now approx only £30M in available funds most of which would be drawn down from the banking facility that we could see another fund raising at around 10% discount to share price
Surely all bad news is already reflected in the SP. A few sensational news items start to appear about plan B being implemented and price drops 4%. It seems the media and the government just want this to go on forever what happened to living with the virus. I have just myself recovered from a bout and it wasn't pleasant however other than an annoying cough and general lack of energy it didn't stop me from doing things around the house. I would also like to give a special mention to Test and Trace who failed to check on me for the whole 10 days I can only assume they have been cut to a skeleton crew
Hi I previously sold a small holding in Nov 2019 at 61.92 for a decent profit. Started accumulating again on monthly saving in Nov 2020 starting from 32.65. I now have about 5% of my available investment in this company. I am generally a long term holder however I am also happy to take profit if presented with a chance. I know a certain person keeps saying 64p target however if it went to 55 even that is over 10% from its current price. What will it take to drive the price up I am not sure about the idea of spending billions on housing sector as surely that will also come with a large cost to run that part of the business. Surely share buybacks or special dividend would be better options on creating value for shareholders.
Hi I am new as a member on this forum however I have been watching in the background for a few months. I am a small investor with a portfolio of about £50k total and this board is just another tool in the chest. Got in at 132p on Friday as I had been watching for a while and thought too many overblown scare stories. I have only £1500 invested however that is a decent amount for my level of investment. I hope to learn from some of the wise and not so wise postings and hope to contribute a little chat now and then. At least on this share I am already sat on small profit. Planning on holding for at least 12 months and hopefully see the beginnings of complete travel recovery in that time.
