I value his opinion and so rather than you labelling him a sceptic I would say he is a realist.
The original geological model didn't work and now I suspect there is trouble ahead, if Appi is sceptical I am sure it is with good reason but we will just have to wait for the news to confirm.

oil price stability is also important and that seems to be likely right now in the short to medium term.

We should really be looking at the price of " Bonny Light " which is a high grade light crude, consisting of the lower alkanes and just what you need for refining petroleum but it has a low sulphur content which is desirable as it produces less toxic refinery by products and doesn't damage the refinery structure.
Consequently it trades at a premium but closely tracks the brent crude price rather than the WTI.
It gets it's name from Bonny island in the Niger delta.
Hopefully by this time tommorrow we will hear that polling has commenced.
Whichever way it goes it removes a big uncertainty which would be a major factor in the confidence of any Service Provider about to commit 100m+

Nigeria historically votes on a Saturday, just like here in the UK we always have a GE on a Thursday.
Whoever it is it doesn't change the fact that the Country is dependent on Hydrocarbons to generate the revenue it needs to progress.
