Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
If we the PI's are feeling sore this morning then imagine how Worldview is feeling. What is left for this lot at these low prices now that we do not know about. Is this the bale out time? I have to say that I am very disappointed at how the BoD have made their announcements, it really stinks.
Come on Worldview, 19.91% now and counting
Have just had a reply from Hargreaves Lansdown and they would charge £10 + VAT for placing your vote for you. Sounds like money for old rope to me.
Despite that large buy it has done nothing for the SP, as I said earlier this is going to be one long slog now to get any profit from this company.
I have already contacted Hargreaves Lansdown to see how I can vote against this proposal. As soon as I hear I will post the results.
What do Worldview know that we don't? Is it simply that they do not want their share of the company diluted by the BOD's proposals or do they know something that we mortals don't know?
Do you think that or is it the first of a few to abandon the ship? By that I do not suggest we are sinking but may be a bit rudderless at the moment?
Yes, have been here same length time, my original hopes for this share have continuously been dampened. Even when we have good news it has taken so long to be formally issued that the sp fails to ignite. Unless something happens big in Kurdistan then I am afraid this will be on the back burner until 2017 when we actually get around to getting some product out of Algeria. That assumes that Egypt has not imploded in the meanwhile and dragged our sp back down again.
I have spotted the odd sensible comment here in the past, although with this share that has dried up as has the news flow. I just hope the next RNS is better received and pushes the sp in a northerly direction.
I think that this company is even beyond that now. I would like to think that the BoD have learnt some lessons from the reaction to previous announcements they have made and have polished up their act.
What on earth has given this SP a very nice uplift this morning, anybody know anything? I had written this share off and had left it in my portfolio to either die or recover having missed the opportunity to sell being away on holiday, perhaps there is a bit of life left in this company after all?
To all you experts out there does anyone know why the spread on the SP has widened?
That was a good find by Billy, I just think that PCI needs to up its performance in general with respect to RNS's. The information given and language used is a disappointment and all of the BoD must appreciate that if there are any information black spots in a RNS then investors will fill them with their own speculation. This in turn creates volatility and is no good to any one except the MM's.
Do not despair, you are not alone. I also did exactly the same thing at almost the same price and I also cannot understand how this SP moves and what causes it to moves. It is almost as if it has a mind of its own. As someone else said the volume that Worldview bought should have nudged this up. If I had bought 27m and the SP dropped I would be feeling a bit sore. When things happen like this I return to the fundamentals of the company, the potential risk and the potential profit. Apart from the issue of rubbish RNS this company is good at what it does, it is earning money, it is profitable albeit those profits are being expended on other explorations. Take a deep breath and hold on, I feel this should turn the corner.
Or is this another trade back to front?
If you are signed up to the premium service level it should show up immediately. If not then it takes up to 15 mins or so to come through. I still don't understand LSE as some trades show as a sell when they are a buy and vice versa, also the MMs have a way of keeping stock handy for small trades but not this size. Despite all that the sp goes down, must be sickening to lay out all that money and find that the reaction is negative. The only thing that will get this going is some good results from Kurdy. GLA!
The way that this has been put it doesn't look like the position was producing enough to cover it's cost? Or are they needing to downsize the top table and are in fact grateful that they have not got to make this position redundant? Any other views on this RNS?
Absolutely right, you couldn't make it up! I have been here since 2010 and including the dividends am showing a slight profit, but have to say I have sold out today as I do not like the look of the black clouds starting to gather over our heads here. It will make interesting reading when the finals are published.
Will the news of this shareholding in PCI have any upward effect on the SP? I somehow doubt it, nothing is going to shift this until the results from Kurdy, I just hope to goodness that we don't end up with egg on our faces!
