At last a little tick up, let us hope that the sp stays here at least and that the issue of the year end figures do not cause any turbulence! LOL all on board here.
I wonder if the current drop off in the sp is causing a few investors to get nervous? I cannot see why as this company has success written all over it.
Some more good news today, EGX seems to be making it's way slowly but surely. Hopefuly this can only bolster the SP. http://www.investegate.co.uk/newsalert.aspx?conf=1000760930
I just hope that this doesn't rock the boat and scare investors off. I don't believe it will as advance warning was given in earlier accounts.
It is so nice to see lots of blue here today, I had almost given up on this one. Missed the opportunity to sell once before. I wonder is this a dead cat bounce or something a little more serious. At least the management seem to be putting their money where their mouth is. What other views are out there over forward looking here for the next few months?
I think you are right, I looked at www.vectorvest.com re Stobart this morning and although there are some positives [ie. the SP is less than fair value] the overall report is slightly more negative than positive and they currently have Stob as a "sell".
I wonder what effect this will have, is this a sign they are fed up with what is going on? http://www.investegate.co.uk/stobart
I here that Tesco is odds on favourite for the Epsom Derby, is that worth a punt?
What a complete basket case this company is. What are the BOD doing when they issue a profit warning less than three weeks before Christmas and then state now that sales were materially less than thought! Really, how can they not have their finger on the correct pulse, they must have been taking the company's cat's pulse! Who is going to believe anything that they say in the future?
Wonderful, Broker WH Ireland reduces the target to £1.50 and still rates the shares a buy and the MMs rack the sp down 5%.
Seems to be starting off very well, the RNS contains positive news let's hope that this nudges the SP north. Good luck all on board here.
Brilliant, your talents are wasted here, you should write for the BBC as they don't have any decent writers at the moment!
The management of this company together with the issaunce of news and keeping investors up to date has been awful. The difference from the previous Directors update until todays is incredible and I do not believe that this has happened overnight. I am really glad I sold out at 3.75p and didn't wait for a recovery. Even the directors report does not sound over encouraging, good luck to all that remain on board here.
Someone at board level should come out and make a statement about this fiasco. The only good news is that the Directors have suffered more than we the investors have with their large holdings.
I wonder how much further they will drop before the MMs consider them a bargain?
I agree with your point of view, I wonder how much they needed this extra funding? So far I have been impressed by the way that Stobart has run their companies and in particular how they manage to motivate their employees to look after Stobart plc as if it is their own money. Not very many large companies achieve this attitude amongst their staff. I just wonder if Stobart's financial advisers have completely lead them astray? If so it would be nice for someone to put their hands up and admit to a mistake, if not this could exert some unpleasant downward pressure on the SP.
I agree, a discretionary fund manager that I know was offered a tranche of this and they declined the offer! Reason given they felt Stobart were borrowing enough, they are susceptable to fuel increases and against a collective bond [ie Unit Trust] investment there was not enough reward for the possible risk of backing one pony against the whole race. As a investment of a small amount of ones portfolio, especially if you can ISA it I personally would be happy with a punt on this bond, this assumes that you do not believe that the SP will rise next year. If that is the case then why risk the SP going south when you can get the same return with little risk, on the other hand if the SP rises you have a capital gain and the divi, seemples!
