Previously known as Hangar 8, Gama has grown rapidly over the last five years through a mix of acquisitions and organic growth. The group's sales have risen from $26.9m in 2012 to $203m in 2016. Post-tax profit has risen from $0.49m in 2012 to $16.6m last year. With such rapid growth, you might expect Gama stock to be on a sky-high P/E rating already. That's not the case. Gama trades on a 2017 forecast P/E of just 8.3. One reason for this is that the group's expansion has partly been funded by issuing a significant number of new shares. Since April 2014, Gama's share count has risen from 9.5m to 43.9m. This means that earnings per share have not risen as fast as the group's headline profits. I'd normally be wary about investing in companies where shareholder dilution is a serious risk. But Gama's return on capital employed has averaged 16.9% over the last four years, suggesting to me that the group's acquisitions are making a fair contribution to profits. Gama's adjusted earnings are expected to rise by 6% to $0.32 per share in 2017 and by 11% to $0.36 per share in 2018. Looks like the real reason for today's rise has just been revealed - a 79k buy at 22p. Nice.

Three buys this morning, and the price has moved up on each of them....not much stock around perhaps.

Wow - only a maximum 1,500 shares available to buy online at 17.5p, whereas you can sell 200,000 at a premium at 17.13p..... Looking very good after decent buying yesterday. There was an institutional (OK trade) buy of 57k shares at 17.62p, above the 17.5p offer price, and also there were more OK buy trades of another 165,000 shares. FredRubble, the consideration shares are simply issued valued at the current market price, i.e valued at around £0.5m - as per my original post costing the acquisitions at around £4.1m. Bargain!

The AGM trading update is in only 2 weeks' time on 5th May. Given the outlook in the finals I suspect it will be very positive. CTO's going ex-div last week is responsible for 2.7p of the recent fall.

A 100,000 share institutional (OK trade) buy at 42p was only shown late in the day........

in the April issue apparently. Consistently good volumes here, even on quiet/negative days for the market. Hopefully the share price is now starting another push upwards.

Nice £327,000 buy at 137.63p just reported, presumably from earlier today with the share price moving up as a result.

A tick up on a 5k buy. We should get a year end trading update in the next 3-4 weeks hopefully confirming a minimum of 3.8p EPS (with 4.3p EPS forecast this year).

I attended the AGM. Most importantly, I was reasonably encouraged by what was reported in terms of trading: - the Chairman was very firm in describing current trading as "satisfactory". IMO the Chairman is of what might be termed the "old school", where there's no need for hyperbole, or for 10 words where one will do. As proven by the trading update! In other words, if he's happy to describe overall trading as "satisfactory" I would translate that as "good" - the AGM itself was unilluminating re trading info. However, there was mention in terms of growth catalysts for Ganymede's smart metering business, and for ATA growing as a beacon of quality against other similar-type businesses. And post-meeting I had a discussion regarding smart metering which gave me much more encouragement as to potential future workloads in this area - the Chairman described RTC as unaffected by extraneous factors in the general economy, presumably because Ganymede and GSS in particular have strong recurring revenues - the DCC is now basically completed and 100% available for revenue/profit-generation - GSS is more likely to strengthen rather than weaken in future as regards Afghanistan given the situation there - I proposed that RTC should proactively get out and present to private investors via presentations at Equity Development, Proactive, Blackthorn Focus, Mello etc. This is what will get some liquidity and interest in the shares, as apart from Oryx and a few others RTC are indeed too small for most institutional investors. This proposal was welcomed and seemed to be particularly taken on board by the FD. I would say that actually RTC's business is overall of HIGHER quality than most of its sector rivals. This is due to Ganymede's and GSS's high recurring/contractual income with Network Rail etc. The smart metering opportunity in particular offers a transformational opportunity to the group. If this results in a long-term installation contract or two similar to Ganymede's Network Rail contract, you won't see the share price for dust given the small free float.

Panmure Gordon have increased their EPS forecasts slightly to 1.5p EPS this year and 1.7p EPS next year. They retain their 21p target price. I suspect these are pretty conservative, For example, they've increased 2018's PBTA forecast by £0.6m - despite the historic £0.82m EBITDA of the acquired businesses.

The directors and major shareholders (above 3%) hold over 62% of the shares now, so any buying usually results in a decent share price increase. Nicely up today on £25k of buys.

Being able to compare each department’s performance against each other via Covalent is going to be a huge factor. To be able to do that automatically and assess costs, percentages etc is excellent. It will help reduce errors and at the same time significantly increase accuracy.” Village of Niles is a suburb of Chicago with around 30,000 residents. The village is made up of a large business population including a diverse community. The governing body is responsible for operating and maintaining the day-to-day running of the village including family services and regular police, fire and public works. Hadley added: “Covalent will be our central system for performance and project management. We have a 2030 comprehensive plan and this plan is a set of goals and objectives to accomplish before 2030. It’s part of a larger vision that was set out and we will have data related to that uploaded and managed in Covalent to show progress towards those goals and objectives.” She continued: “Eventually we’d like to compare ourselves against other municipalities but right now we are just comparing ourselves over time and against any national benchmarking. For example, our fire department has a lot of national standards, the police department has some national standards and so we will compare against those.
