SourceBio International plc (AIM: SBI), the international provider of integrated state-of-the-art laboratory services and products , announces that it has entered into an agreement with the Rugby Football Union ("RFU") and Premiership Rugby Limited to provide COVID-19 screening testing services for elite rugby in England.

Under the agreement SourceBio will provide COVID-19 testing services to England Rugby Senior Men's squad and support staff and to all 12 Premiership Rugby clubs players and staff. In addition, the RFU is also looking to roll-out this testing service to RFU Championship clubs who will be able to use this agreement to access the services provided by SourceBio.

SourceBio will provide COVID-19 testing to players and staff around training schedules and ahead of match days. Third party healthcare professionals sourced by SourceBio will take swabs from individuals and samples are then couriered to the Company's ISO 15189 accredited laboratory facility in Nottingham for PCR Testing. Test results are turned around in less than 24 hours.

SourceBio has processed more than 1,000,000 COVID-19 antigen RT-PCR tests for the DHSC and the NHS, Private Hospital Groups and Commercial customers since first offering its service in May 2020.

And Webselenese have already worked with KAPE for some years, so this should be an acquisition in which both parties know and trust each other such that the integration risks are minimal.

A $149.1m acquistion cost to bring in S$30.7m of EBITDA as per 2020 looks extremely good value to me. No wonder it's "significantly earnings accretive".

I also note that "Webselenese's founders will use circa US$1.34 million to purchase Kape Shares in the market following the close of the transaction".

Interesting commentary from Berenberg on prospects for gambling in the USA following Flutter's results this week....

"The German bank was particularly attracted by Flutter's commentary on the US. Sports betting is being legalised in many states for the first time following a Supreme Court ruling in 2018, allowing UK bookmakers - experienced in sports betting - to tap into the lucrative market.

....It upped its total US addressable market forecast to USD20 billion, "a material upgrade to our previous estimate".

This was due to a rise in the number of states expected to regulate sports betting.

"We now expect online sports betting to be available to 65% of the US adult population by 2025 while gaming is expected to be accessible to 16% (previously 50% and 11% respectively)," the company said."

Wincanton has started operations at a new Customer Fulfilment Centre (“CFC”, also known as a “dark store”) for Waitrose.com in Greenford, West London, making it the first supply chain partner to create a dark store for grocery home deliveries in the UK.

Waitrose.com selected Wincanton as its supply chain partner in order to fast-track the development of the CFC and respond to continuing demand for online shopping slots - especially from elderly, disabled and vulnerable customers. The initial five-year contract was first announced in June 2020 and builds on a 20-year partnership that sees Wincanton supply wines and spirits to Waitrose shops.

The dark store will create some 800 new jobs when it is fully running, with staff picking and packing some 1.25 million products a week for delivery in 150 new vans.

As a result of Wincanton developing and operating the dark store in Greenford, Waitrose.com has added a third CFC to its capabilities in London, complementing existing Waitrose sites in Coulsdon and Enfield to meet high demand. When fully running later this year the centre will deliver 25,000 Waitrose.com orders each week,?five times more online slots each week in London than before the pandemic.

The site will also benefit from the available local labour pool which is rich in healthcare and research talent. Not all contracts are RNSable!

PLCs can only issue an RNS if the contract is material in terms of certain tests, i.e (from memory) 10% of revenues, historic profit etc. Certain companies bend these rules more than others....and these tend to be less trustworthy.

So this contract could (in theory) be anything up to say 9.99% of historic turnover, profits etc. I'm sure it isn't - but it certainly looks like a good win. More to the point, it's great that FNX put news like this on their web site. Many don't.

A contract win RNS is generally a rare event. Patience is the key when investing.

Looks like they're buying from Bennbridge, who are doing a bit of top-slicing per their own RNS just out.

Let's hope this is the start of the recovery (about time!). If management can actually deliver here on the obvious rebound as COVID-19 recedes - in the UK at least post-vaccinations - the there could just be serious upside.
