HL is often a bit out with their closing prices (affects all shares not just RR), nothing to worry about. In this case they’ve just picked up the bid price from above 861.60, sometimes it’s the ask instead, probably depends on what was the last trade.

Can’t read the Telegraph article but from what I’ve read it’s a two stage ban, only the first stage has been lifted so they can now consider it as part of the energy mix. Second stage prevents them from building a nuclear plant, that currently remains in place but can now be challenged by using the lifting of stage one. You can’t just read the headline anymore for a factual take.

My gut feel is that a 20% jump to share price on 100% UK SMR (8 qty) is probably optimistic (happy to be proved wrong tho), just considering the timescales involved until SMR operational use -2031 at earliest?

That being said, should a European country jump in too, say Sweden with another order for 8qty, that would take us up to around 20qty SMRs total (including Czech 6qty) and I feel that would justify the 20%+ jump. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Running the numbers it looks like GE-Hitachi are competitive on price £4.1B for 1st SMR then £2.4B each for next three. £11.3B total for four SMR or CAD $20.9

Still backing RR for the full sweep tho, as haven’t seen anything on factory placement for GE-Hitachi, and RR would be uk based (if no further delays) with potential for export opportunities and much needed skilled jobs & the growth currently eluding Reeves.

If RR are similar cost then we can expect 8 qty confirmed SMR’s (speculation there was £20B set aside), with a bit of tax back to UK coffers.

I thought Terrapower had an AMR (Advanced Modular Reactor) design, if SMR is 5 years away then AMRs are 10 years. It’s nothing to worry about, won’t impact the UK decision (Or anyone else who wants them built quickly) in the slightest.

Tufan & RR have renegotiated a load of contracts over the past 2 years, evidence would suggest they know what they’re doing (see share price).

Normally I don’t block as I like to see opposing views, but you’ve added nothing in your posts here to date and clearly thats not going to change despite several people on here trying to educate what I can only assume is a 12 year old.

Had you taken the time to watch the investor Q&A you would know that RR SmR will be cash generative from day1 of build with a cost plus contract & staged payments, we won’t have to wait for 2032 first in use date. I expect they’re targeting 15-18% profit margin and will retain the 60 year maintenance contracts.

You would also know that Constellation Energy (part owners of RR SMR) are the largest operator of nuclear in the US with over double the capacity of the 2nd place operator.

I wouldn’t rule out RR SMRs in the US, especially if it comes down to an individual state decision.

If they can’t invest in a cash isa they will just stick the rest is a high interest savings account, to be subject to a potential tax on the interest, so I guess she’s just mean. Only a tiny proportion of people would move it to a stocks & shares isa as the financial education in this country is appalling and they don’t realise that some Stock & Shares isa pay a reasonable % on cash holdings.
