RE: share4 Nov 2021 20:57
I personally can't see any reason why there would be drilling in the O during 2022. Tullow pretty much passed on the option to select a drill for 2022. If any other big players took over Tullow's position that wouldn't be doing their due diligence unless they completely re-analyzed all the date in conjunctions with current drill info in adjoining blocks. Even looking at Exxon, they announced 12 drills in Canje and believe they are saying that will be 3 per years. That says something about the logistics etc for scheduling drill ships, support and re-evaluating data after each drill. And look at Hammerhead and Exxon current development, they've found so much you just can't set up FSPOs for all of it, that takes time and planning to be most efficient. Just can't see anyway (given Tullow took a pass) that any can come in and put something together inside 9 months. That's not good new, means more waiting, we are used to waiting, it sucks. But at least something is happening in Canje.
