Agree totally with your take on ebitda, it is not IMO a particularly reliable indicator for relatively small Tech companies and particulary as an indicator here.....it is a figure ideally suited to the management in this particular senario. I still think there maybe legacy issues here that the management are worried about. But agreed Accolade is a key driver, but it is difficult to get a handle on the real potential here. There is definite potential, but also high relative fixed costs that seem to be a reason that the management are reluctant to make better use of their cash position for the fear of not making the required revenues. Certainly an interesting one, as i am intrigued more from an analysis point.... GL

What is your take on the convertible loans and loan notes bearing 8 to 13% annual interest charges. While holding at the end of 2011 a large cash balance. Seems the true earnings potential is being paid out to the lenders ....335k. The only other explanation is that business lacks trading liquidity or the management fear that revenues are not as robust and predicable going forward. The business is not injecting much capital into the business through its earnings. Take your point on the d. Just an opinion. GL

Hi, Your analysis is a good one and the larger companies are a good bet to counter the inevitable inflationary pressures that appear to be on the horizon. As you have a long term view then the chances are good that the market will come back to you. GL

I been very impressed with you honesty and feel for you both. The market for resource and mineral stocks has seen a steady but substantial outflowing of institutional funds in the last few months. The general trends have seen a noticeable downward. Shift across the board, but more marked in any miners showing any deterioration in their financial positions or adverse news. This shift in sentiment is likely to last a while even if there is a bottoming out of this trend. IMO So unless investors are day traders picking up odd scraps there is little to entice medium term investors to buy until the trend and the market sentiment shows signs of a change.... Only an opinion, but i do wish you success because you both deserve it. GL

I think it is just coming off a high, pretty much as expected. The approvals for the rail sale should be in April and completed in second quarter. I cannot see anything, there maybe a further softening of the price with the general drift in the markets which are effected by the situation in Cyprus.... GL

Fundementals are not all they would seem IMO EBITDA gives a false picture as does the cash balances. The question that needs awnsering is why the business has cash balances while maintaining expensive loan notes. The question to ask is does the ultimate parent have issues related to debt financing that strategically make it benificial to hold cash reserves in their other other businesses which are easily transferrable. If you delve further into the notes to accounts you may find further indications. This is not a meant as a deramp but it is questions i asked myself when looking at this business to invest... GL

Its all a matter of timescale....hours, days, months Same patterns, you just have to speed up the reaction time..IMHO. When i ever go for a spike it normally very short term do not believe in sitting invested waiting for it.... GL

Look at the three year pattern...around June if the general market is holding up. Watch for volumn increases and short term average revesals.. Well, thats how i would play it......not saying is right... GL

I would wait clear either bottoming out and several rises. Even then the share has been trending for a long time. This pattern is just a normal trading the reverse of consolidation on a rising trend. Only an opinion though.... GL

The other question i would ask is why invest at all... The trend is against you.....sell and wait for the market to confirm with a turn and reversal, whether you are a long or short term investor. If you are waiting for a quick rebound then would you need a rising stop or falling stop. ....so many ways to play

Thanks for the post.....been in for a liitle while. The interesting thing is the initial approach by Emerson a while back. I was in Chloride before it was taken over by Emerson a while back. They made an initial approach which was turned down and then made a full takeover a while later. With the sale of the Rail division the remaining assets will be a tempting prise for Emerson if not a couple of other concerns. Even without this should offer plenty of scope to improve margins on the ex rail revenue figures. GL

Hi i have been watching this business for a while.... The reason could have something to do with the 4th April RNS. This referred to the placing of shares owned by Kerbet Ltd which is a holding company for two non exec directors. At the time they disposed of 15m shares and still had a holding of 13m which they agreed to place into the market for another 6months. Well, that 6 months is up in Jan, so this may have something to do with the lack lustre performance of the share price even though the Trading update was positive. As i am not invested but looking others that are may have a better handle on this. GLA
