Cheshire - the Telegram group is pretty similar to these boards with a higher percentage of bullish people positively affirming each other’s positions (me included) There have been a couple of emails from CF posted on Telegram that you won’t see here - so worth it for that
Depends on the nature of the takeover - could be that Hvivo / Venn would be sold leaving Orph to stay floated with the aim of monetising DIM and the other assets. In which case nothing would be gained by building a stake
Grateful to a poster on the Telegram group who has found that the seller was Thornbridge who are now out. We just need to get rid of Ashb23 for a really peaceful life
Its strange that the Poolbeg business model is to find / develop infectious disease drugs then sell them to big Pharma who have the resources to take them through phase 3 but we can’t seem to do the same with Imutex
Also, the purchased shares can be held on the Orph balance sheet (in treasury) and classified as liquid assets. They can resell them back to the markets when the share price improves for an even better cash position
Loads of sells (although some of them are probably buys) going through - CF doesn't like buy backs as he thinks that it shows a Company has run out of ideas - surely £2 or £3 million in this direction is just common sense if the Company is as undervalued as he states
I sent Carol a message through LinkedIn - zero response which is particularly unprofessional as she is VP - investor relations (doesn’t she realise communication is a key part of IR)
Read the interview couple of times and CF (going against his natural exuberance) is cautiously optimistic. Maybe the catalyst for share price turnaround will be when / if they start signing Covid CT’s
Let’s hope for some more positive news next week - surely a bottom in the SP can’t be far away considering the booked revenues / cash balance / profitability etc . There is obviously negative sentiment around Aim stocks atm particularly with horror stories like ODX affecting confidence. Large holders in any stock (I am far too loaded in Orph) will have read about investors being totally wiped out and that doesn’t do the nerves any good
CF seems quiet since Xmas (his recent video discussion only talked about the Challenge studies - no general chat about the business) - I am hoping that he is working in the background on some of the (several) possibilities that could prove the doubters wrong. In my view there is more exciting news to come in the very near future but he does need to feel some heat. I have messaged him through Linkedin (politely praising the work so far but also asking for more feedback) - no reply as yet but the more peeps do the same the more he will understand the frustration we are feeling from missed deadlines and over optimistic predictions that are hurting sentiment towards the share.
Nathan - OK thanks for the clarification. On a wider note I don’t know why they need phase 3 trials. Once a drug is proved to be safe the paying customer will decide whether it’s worth using and thus effective
