No chance the dividend will make any difference at all, it's too small, but new ISA year on the 6th of April could see some additional buying.
Also, gold having headed sharply upwards from 1680 all the way back up to 1730, over recent days, should help too.

I'm not sure I completely trust the Morningstar data, however let's say it's accurate, and if so there have been various institutions buying lately, but there's two new ones: AMG Fondsverwaltung AG and Gabelli Funds LLC. The former having supposedly bought 26 million shares and the latter 8 million. Whilst PI's sell the insti's buy.

I think the current book is a mirage.
They want plonkers to sell them stock under 11.8p (they're happy to bid for plenty of stock well above that price).

Dollar will have just jumped up I imagine (that's usually what happens).
Whilst gold actually seems to trend in the same direction as the dollar in recent years in the ultra-short term it still reacts inversely most of the time.

I do think BoD's can't see the wood for the trees sometimes.
There's no point spending a million quid on a dividend which is several times smaller than the spread alone....especially in the context of an SP that's pulled back about 70 times the amount of the dividend in a few months.
They'd have been better off keeping half the money and spending the other half on cancelling any shares they wanted to sell. This would probably have resulted in a share price that would have pulled back to something more like 13/14/15p perhaps (rather than 12p).

Gold back above 1730, that's what I like to see, and whilst I was writing this, all the way up to 1735.
Currently coinciding with this breaking out of the downtrend channel of the past 2 weeks.

No quotes under 12p anymore by any method. You may have got the last of it.

The order book is very contrived at the moment.
On the broker RSP network, that most punters can't see, there's a wall of brokers that will buy up the stock in large amounts but not many prepared to sell it.

Agreed Colonel (although not sure it'll be IG having a go at investors - they'll just have been forced into those moves and won't have wanted to do it really). Now some other party exploiting the year end timing, combined with that, and some dir sales - yeah potentially - does seem extremely contrived.

I'd say someone's actively trying to make it appear like the price is down (with piddly little trades at 12p) despite buys dwarfing them at 12.16p+.
20 trades, 7 shares, 40 shares. Yeah someone's really trading those amounts. Pfft.

Best way is to just use them as a tool. After all...what else should you do with a bunch of tools?
They get you a nice cheap price, you take it, and everyone's a winner (well except those who sold out at the lows and fell for it).
