Understand the crossover trade but don't follow why at 165 and not the current so. Is there some rationale behind that do you know?

I took it that placings weren't required for current activities rather than that placings would never be required again. It would be difficult if not impossible for any AIM company not to raise capital and even Danaher raised capital recently and they are a multi billion dollar global company.

Seems to me and happy to be wrong, that increased production of Affimer reagents through increased staffing is a very positive thing.

Can't recall many (or even any) companies that have managed to raise twice their current value through institutional placings but happy to be corrected.

There was a similar reaction when the so called "boohoo boys" we're given individual distribution rights to the C19 test and yet that is now seen as a potential master stroke given their previously proven internet capabilities in person to person sales.

The company now has sufficient monies to:

Progress C19 production as required
Take more than one cancer treatment through clinical trials
Advance Affimer technology and production

Thanks for your post, the vast majority of which I completely agree with.

To help on the part that I don't agree with, or perhaps dont fully understand, can you tell me where in MiFid II it says that Market Makers can't hold a stock of shares?

I appreciate that the vast majority of trades are instantaneous but that doesn't mean that a buyer has instantaneously been linked to a seller, or the other way round, unless the buy and sell are for the same amount of shares at the very same instant, unless I am understanding this incorrectly.

1p bid offer spread at 143

Level 2 has a few youtubes about it but what I use it for is:

Looking at the bid offer spread and how many are in each queue to buy and sell. This gives a slight indication of which way it is going.

Looking at what each MM has available at what prices. This is usually in blocks of 5000 as that is our market size. Obviously people can buy or sell more than the market size and this would show in the volume number against the queue mentioned above.

Last and definitely not least, there is an occasional show of more than the usual 6 depth, which is what I posted earlier.

That would be my understanding too.

If they have taken out a stop loss at 145 and can later sell that number at 230 then it seems like a way of making a lot of money out of stop losses and panic sells. Only my opinion as. I await other understandings.

The numbers at the top are what MMs have that they will sell at and the numbers at the bottom are what they have that you can buy at. For example, 600,000 at £2.30.

If this isn't MMs getting ready for something then I don't know what it is so would be happy to hear if there is an alternative view.

Even LSE has more buys than sells so it doesn't take much working out what is happening.

Likely to be a good buying day again and level 2 earlier was very interesting in terms of shares available at much higher prices, which I think was discussed last night on here amidst everything else.

With the abundance of news due in the next few days/weeks, this isn't the time to be giving shares away.

More buys than sells today and we still have people in a panic.

Work it out, folks.

In the absence of news we seem to have a pattern each day.

The MMs lower the sp by a few pence
Some holders panic and sell
Stop losses are triggered
Holders buy more
Repeat

News will arrive when news is due, so a panic when it doesn't seems illogical.

Stop losses. Well, if you want to play cards with your hand showing then winning is a lot harder.

Happy with today's buys but struggling to understand panic sells and stop losses.
