The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Although a couple of weeks old, not a bad summary of the recent Affyxell link up:

We also appear to have produced the inhibitor required by L G Chem given the recent milestone payment.
Whilst we are understandably focussed on the AVA6000 DE, it is sometimes worth remembering the other shots that Avacta has in motion, of which the above are only two.

MB53,
Of course they would be "oblige" to inform the market.
Where on earth are you getting your timescales from to say this is delayed?
Have a look at the readily available clinical trial information and let us know.
Thanks.
Onwards Avacta.
Timster,
The fact that the FDA have approved the trial is, itself, brilliant.
The possibility that they might fast track it (DE related at a guess) is better than whatever the word is for more than brilliant.
Hurst, if this isn't what you meant, my apologies.

Perfectly legal to own shares in the company you work for or other companies unless your contract of employment forbids it.
All company schemes require HMRC approval.
The more interesting aspect of this RNS is both the timing and the phrase in the RNS that says:
This will be used to facilitate the admission of shares to trading following the exercise of options granted under the following two share schemes:
- The EMI Scheme - 750,000 shares
- The LTIP Scheme - 1,250,000 shares
"Following the exercise of options" sounds to me like some employees have decided that now is the time to take their options.
Could be completely wrong of course but with AVA6000 progressing you can but wonder.

We've just had an RNS incentivising future achievements, of which there could be many.
I've liked posts from the pair of you in the past but never any of the "me to you" ones, which is only amusing when it applies to The Chuckle Brothers and that is neither of you two at this time.
What else could either of you have wanted to see today other than an incentivising RNS whilst we await AVA6000 data?
Just a plea from me.
Richob.

An Enterprise Management Incentive (“EMI”) scheme is an approved employee share scheme that is available to most trading companies, allowing employers to grant share options to key employee's tax efficiently, as a reward for their efforts within the business and/or to retain and incentivise key staff.
Reward for their efforts seems appropriate with regard to AVA6000. Will this be at the next DE?

I was talking about the shorter tracker and how that reports rather than the shorting company itself.
Either way, both of these are no longer an issue in my opinion. Happy if anyone takes a different view.
Let the good times roll.

iPad,
Those short positions are January and March and they don't report below 0.5%, so if they are not yet closed, which I doubt given the current sp, they will lose money if they are still in and the sp would rise as they buy back.
More importantly, as each day goes by, we get nearer and nearer to AVA6000 data. I think we all know what this would do to the sp.
In summary, I doubt that anybody is now shorting
our share and we have some great days ahead.
