Could I trouble someone to explain the £14,036,030.47 sell UT at close in terms of implications?

Would suggest further increased shorting to my logic, however doesn’t seem to accord with the current trend of reducing / shorts closing due to recent surge in share price. There is also talk of limited opps to attract buyers at that level

You make very good points here Casapinos and the only thing I would add to that is there is an irony here in that due to the fact that the 60% share figure you mentioned held by so few which is indeed positive, that also allows hedge funds/ shorters to access / borrow such large amounts from long term large investors so easily, thus having Ocado stock shorted to 7.4%.

I love your positivity QF10 and has really helped through some tough times for Ocado since dramatic drop since initial highs of 397 on results. Thank you and I share your ambition for the future!

Remember it well Toffers and the share price got to circa £10 with the rumours which seemed to continue for an age before coming to nothing. Are you aware of any new rumblings then? I totally agree with what you’re saying at the current price levels, especially.

Is that you, Qantas changing your name to the direct flight to Perth on the QF 10? Keeping the faith here like you and so many others and have filtered green boxes for all the pointless short posters. One bit of inevitable good news will send these shorters into panic buyback mode and the share price will recover quickly.

The one thing I don’t quite understand is that Ocado has evolved in recent times with the introduction of MFCs to cater for the localised model or smaller operations/stores where CFC’s are not viable due to the initial investment required and where there is no requirement for that CFC level of capacity. There is now a huge range of offerings from Ocado to deal with every level of operation, it would appear to me

Rodney McMullen’s sudden controversial resignation from Kroger in March was a huge blow to the partnership at the time. He was fully aware of the potential with Ocado and knew that the idea of store picking manually and delivering by the likes of DoorDash in 2 hours was always going to be an unlikely long term cost-effective solution with huge manpower cost in addition. The current management cannot see this as yet. Kroger management vision does not align and Ocado will certainly find solid new US partnerships whom recognise the value of this hugely significant future proof technology which has recently evolved to also allow for store based robotic packing tailoring for all demands and size requirements. This also provides huge advantages for other sectors away from grocery

Agree Carrington! Totally ridiculous and such an overreaction. Just need to look at the successes with other global partners and tremendous opportunities going forward. Ocado never for the feint hearted but this is a solid well managed strategic company with world leading tech developed over the last 25 years and with a multitude of solid patents. Proven success in the UK, Europe, and now Australia. The brave hearts and rational investors will be well rewarded soon enough.

Could not agree more JC. The Kroger review has been going on far too long and creating too much uncertainty. The outcome is very much as expected and could’ve been far worse. This now provides stability on that aspect going forward and draws a line under. $250 million a huge boost and a $50 million loss for 2026 will not be that impactful. Group Cashflow strong currently . The new Dallas demo site will provide an excellent US shop window for significant opportunity for diversification into pharmaceutical and apparel etc. Australia going great guns with Coles! M&S entering Aus market too alongside Ocado. Exclusivity in the US has ceased and the future seems extremely bright in my opinion.
