Currently CMO of innolith, but has a degree in chemistry, wrote a book on International Public Relations, was founder of Axicom, grew the company and worked for large clients. He sold this company to WPP but stayed on as CEO until 2016. He is now CMO of Innolith, a company with a novel large scale battery. Looks like he already has a job, but perhaps he retired too early and wants a new big challenge.

If it is, links to some pages on their website seem hard to translate from Vietnamese. Three of their biggest projects have been spread to 100,000 people but otherwise are to 10,000 people or less. If this is our new PR company it looks alarming to me.

Well spotted that the nameplate power output for the new plug and play is less than the 240kw for the Kore. However, there have been a lot of changes to the technology so the longevity and price for the amended design is very much improved. The point is to use these units where price competitive with other energy options is the target, rather than space the unit takes up.
I think the advances on price and longevity since the original Kore are enormous. How many units/space the customer need for 1Mw of output is less of an issue than the price point.

They are looking at that, but the bottleneck is cost.

cost of renewable energy+cost of electrolysis(including hardware)+cost of fuel cell(including hardware)
needs to be price competitive with
energy price per Kwh from other sources

but I think the technology to get there is getting cheaper all the time.

This looks like it could be a potential opportunity for AFC, great!

Using gassification technology already installed and in use by GE.

Range of feedstocks including coal and biomass.

Range of uses for the syngas including POWER industry.
That would be an opportunity for fuel cells more efficient than turbines.

Possibly very good news if the price can all add up!

I think the issue here is that brilliant people can produce magnificent things in a lab.
However, progressing that to a commercial product takes a long time and a lot of money if it is possible to achieve at all.

This is exactly what we have seen with AFC and are irritated by the timescale and what we call over optimistic predictions along the way. I don't think desertwolf is belittling anyone, just pointing out that a lab finding however brilliant is a very long way from a commercial product.

Actually, that makes the cost £27.50 for the trade, so I think that makes the III bed and ISA alright!

For information on III bed and ISA.

I tested transferring £5000 of AFC shares into my ISA with III yesterday.

They sold 96154 shares at .52
and bought 95602 at .523
trading costs were little if any.

So loss of 554 shares or about half a percent on a bed and ISA with III. Probably could have been better, but not as catastrophic as the terms and conditions suggested it might be!

Thanks for help yesterday. Does anyone recall how this compares with other brokers at all?

Am considering doing bed and ISA on AFC shares, waiting to see if the price goes lower before using this opportunity! My trading account has been taken over by III since I last did this.

The website terms and conditions say they will charge me the whole spread plus a trading commission for a bed and ISA, which would be extortionate. Does anyone have experience of III bed and ISAs. Am considering moving elsewhere if their charges would really be as stated! In this case, does anyone have suggestions for where I should move?

Yes, I agree with BumbleB on commercial. I was not party to any discussion after the AGM on that. However, a shareholder who appeared smart and informed (dont know if they post here) asked about this during AGM questions and the answer was just as BumbleB says. They would take orders now because they would be at 4 years longevity by the time the units were installed.

I agree it is sad that two years mentioned so far is for electrodes, but they don't last this long when in the stack. I was not sure when I looked at the presented data later whether the deficiency is a real fall off, or whether some of it was just not having tested for long enough at the time. Time!! will tell I am sure. Hopefully the figures are better by now. Wish we knew (sigh). Made me wonder whether more holes for hydrogen would be even better. When they showed us the model of flow across the old and new plates it seemed flow in the new plates might still be improved further.

No need to be sorry, I really value your posts and am not at all upset, just reporting that the new policy on news was robustly commented on at the AGM!

I do concur with the other reports from the AGM though. We were certainly updated on many strands of ongoing commercial potential options/ways in which the fuel cell could be deployed (without specific details). Also, as the company is still really in the R and D stage, on the current stage of PLACE. There was a lot to report. I concur with other reports that it would still take more time, end of 2018 or next AGM hopefully to really start seeing contracts. If all this worked out, the future remained very bright.

This is my problem. There are many strands/areas of work, many are the state of R and D, both in terms of PLACE for the fuel cell itself and integration with other technologies. Progress in these area will not make RNS necessary in the way a contract would, so we will be updated on it. In six months since the AGM there must have been progress in some of these areas which would encourage people to buy shares and therefore by definition contribute to the share price. However, all this information on progress is now not given to us because the threshold for RNS worthy reporting is high.

I can assure you that when John Rennocks announced his new news blackout policy I gave him a hard time at the AGM and afterwards. I hope I made clear to him that this policy for a news driven AIM company would be assured to drive down the share price. If added to this there was then a fundraising at a very depressed share price it would inevitably lead to great dilution and would not be in the interests of the company or the shareholders.

The BOD do have a duty of care to the company and the shareholders. I am not sure when this no news policy and result could be seen to cross the line to mismanagement.

We are repeatedly told there is so much going on behind the scenes. I suspect the share price would not be on its knees if we were aware of more of this. When does this amount to witholding price sensitive information.

I agree with eddietheo that the no news policy since John Rennocks arrived has done the share price no favours at all. If there is possibility of a fund raise from this sort of share price I think a lot of share holders will be very cross.

BOD do have a duty of care to the company and shareholders. I am not convinced that a no news policy for an AIM share meets criteria for duty of care, whatever the strict market reporting requirements are.

Perhaps you are right that someone is offloading shares and there is an explanation.

I wonder whether, on the arrival of AB with timelines, targets quarterly newsletters and proactive investor interviews made the share attractive as an AIM investment. Conversely the new agenda to minimise information smacks almost of lack of transparency and has less appeal for PIs.
