If he moved on a frozen production gas thingy vessel way of producing gas here it could be a huge extra asset for Rockhopper.

So financing is 'expected to be', so not quite signed off yet.

Detailed Development Plan has agreement in principle, but not final agreement, so still a little to do there. It may be that this will only be after the election when they are out of purdah.

So all looks very promising, but might be after the election before FID is actually announced.

Yes, but AGMs often have presentations which might give some guide to what is left to do and timeline to FID.

Trying to check the dates for Purdah.

The latest I can see (including FIG facebook post of 7 August) is notice to dissolve government on 31 October, with election date of 11 December.

That seems to mean FID will not be possible from 31 October to 11 December.

If this is the case, hoping it is done before end of October. Into late December is a long time to wait and as posted, takes us into the Christmas holiday period.

I thought they had announced a delay to Shenny first oil to mid July, due to weather.

Sounds like first oil is now targeted for Q1 2028.

Then RKH will be paying back the Navitas loan for up to 2 years before they have cash for exploration on Isobel.

So this might take a long time unless they farm in to raise cash for it.

My experience of insurance might be simplistic, but..

If your car has superficial bodywork damage but the cost of repairs are more than the value of the car because it is old.

The car may be deemed a 'write off'.

Once you accept the insurance payment the car and any potential profits from it belong to the insurance company.

So, if there is more potential here, future profits would be to the insurers if they fight on. RKH would not benefit from overturning this.

So now the frenzy of relief is over..

90 days in which no one can sign contracts, ship orders and know what the price and tariff will be by the time the widgets arrive in US. This is still very destructive and a more chronic barrier to US trade. This uncertainty is also bad for markets.

Uk still has the same 10% tariffs which were going to be cripling to growth.

Other countries have !0% for the next 90 days and may end up with lower final tarrifs if they grovel enough.
