Hi Northy, agree with you that its a volatile share and that everyone needs a plan, but SPE rose to 500p on news on 27/3/17, then slipped back waiting for more news while people took profit and traders moved elsewhere - makes sense. What i dont understand is selling now when share price has started to rise again from a low level, ready for next news in early June....assuming its good we should bounce back to 500p plus. Fingers crossed!

Agreed, it was on my target list below 400p. This gives 25% minimum upside IMO. If falls again will buy more!

Strange why people are selling at 400p when next update due in less than a month with over 25% upside available. Hey ho, each to their own lol

Don't worry we've all picked some bad ones! I got in here expecting the company to be sold at a higher bid than originally offered and turned down by Darby. There's got to be tough questions being asked about when the turnaround will start by the II's surely? Darby's time must be limited...

Bought some this morning at £2.945 following on from drop - concerns about US / Trump?? Drop over done Imo. Good company generating good profit and dividend. Been on my target list for a while.

Not only driving price down, but also relating disclosure of buys! Good old MM tricks. Got to be a buy at this price IMO

I'd be wary of making a lot of products for other manufactures / retailers as strategy. Yes you can get good volume to cover overhead costs, but margins slim and put yourself at mercy of others when contract renewal time comes around. Also likely to canabilise own range of products. I think PFD need to rationalise more (sell off those products with poor margins) and focus marketing spend on key ranges. Probably need bigger pockets to do this in serious way - partner?

Seems to be change of strategy - focus on EBITDA through focus on margins / reducing costs instead of from growth / turnover. 50 jobs to go in head office for starters...All manufacturing outfits in my experience can save costs, i dont know if PFD have a continuous improvement / lean strategy and whether it delivers? Absolute must is engaging workforce to deliver performance improvement and save waste.

Plans to save £20m over 2 years and cut HQ FTE by 50 will keep share price from crashing.

AGM today and new FD. Shares have ticked up nicely over last couple of weeks. Hopefully can break through 130p with more good news.

Growth in UK construction hit a 4 month high in April. PMI rose to 53.1 from 52.2 in March - better than forecast which was for a slight fall. Civil Engineering grew at fastest rate in just over a year.
