Clearly the funds are trying to keep a lid on the share price and drive it down, where possible to either a) Reduce their short position or b) Increase their holding.
Price driven down today 4.1% to 139.05p, then big buys after hours eg. 2.6m shares at 142.4673p.
Market makers will open share price up tomorrow slightly (assuming no takeover RNS) and funds will continue to drive price down whilst picking up cheap shares. Its not rocket science!
I'm happy to hold and see where this goes...

I don't know how the shorters sleep at night? Can you imagine holding a big short here, then each morning opening up the RNS list at 0700 hrs , worrying that there will be a bid of £2.50 or above......frightening!!!!

Absolutely - funds driving share price down with ATs, then will pick up loads of cheap shares after the close.
Market makers open it higher for them again in the morning to rinse and repeat.
Just needs 1 RNS with a higher takeover offer for the share price to fly...wouldn't want to be shorting it when this lands.

Schroders pick up 5.1% of POLB - RNS out.

Near the bottom here at 4.2p, with bigger buyers hoovering up these cheap shares.
I'd have thought within a few days that all trading platforms will have received the free shares and distributed them...
Hopefully not too many more PIs dumping their shares, and we should see the share price start to recover..

Looked at THG before and left alone, however bought a couple of tranches today as the situation now looks compelling. MM and Board can't turn down a £1.70 bid without firm belief that other bids will follow..
Hopefully get another concrete bid shortly, and media coverage over weekend should flush out any buyers in the wings..

Thought that the volume traded today would be much higher? 18 million shares traded out of total shares issues 1,221 million = so only 1.5% roughly...
Expected larger volume as PI's take 25% profits from yesterday's price and short sellers buy to replace borrowed shares, and reduce their risk of further offers above £1.70

I'm adding in blocks on the way down - gift at these prices.
Hopefully more daft PIs will continue to sell their free shares and I can add bigger blocks over the coming days...

I find it quite bizarre that PIs are selling at such low prices following yet more good news....
ORPH is massively derisked now with 16 contracts signed in 18 months and yet the selling into any good news continues.
I can only assume their mantra is buy high, sell low and continue complaining about CF....

My POLB freebie shares are now in my account - no doubt others also have received their shares...

I'm expecting a big price drop as the worried PIs dump their shares as soon as they can... Hopefully there will be loads of very cheap shares to hoover up for the more confident investors among us.

Hopefully all the great RNSs, will provide enough liquidity to allow the persistent sellers to exit at the price they are looking for.
Once gone, the constant flow of new orders should see this share marching past 20p again, IMO

Its just the weak hands selling - value will out in ORPH in the long run.

RNS from Board as expected, dismissing yesterday's Interactive Investors poorly written note, as nonsense.

To be fair to ORPH board, the II email to investors only came out at 1546, so not long to respond before market closed.
Also the fault really lies in the poor wording and email headline from II = "Delisting - Ophan Orphan".
All II have done is rehash a previous RNS explaining the change of NOMAD and potential risks, which any share holder should know as its standard practise.
A massive over reaction to a non story - hopefully the Board put out another RNS tomorrow clarifying things.
For the smart = a buying opportunity. I notice most of the 900k shares dumped below 12p were bought in seconds in big chunks!

Cracking H2 and the recent £21m contract win (over 3-5 years) doesn't seem to have even got priced in to today's share price.!!
An absolute bargain at this level and hopefully others will see this, when todays results get wider coverage..
I'm going to drop an email to the PR company to pass onto the Directors - I've been critical in the last year and have dropped them a few emails; but credit where credits due; they've pulled off a blinding H2 and monster contract win. Hopefully more contracts to come ....
