Hi BNc many of us know the value of charts and you don't need to waste your time defending them to the disbelievers - which is their choice and imo their loss.

You also have no need to defend your charting record here mate, which is always appreciated by me and many others I'm sure :)

I personally always use charts to buy and sell nowadays and while only a tool in an investors' armoury, I for one wouldn't dare be without it.

But it's a complex art/science to learn and a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I'd urge folk to either leave well alone and follow those who've studied charting and are trusted, or take the time to educate themselves.

Morning ToS1963 you make a fair point but BHP or other major shareholders are going to have to accept that they can't buy SOLG on the cheap. When they cast their eyes over the asset value here and the fact that the copper reserves alone will service their company for many decades then I'm sure they'll smell the coffee :D

We are mid July and the BHP unlocking in October really isn't that far away now.

It's not unreasonable to predict a gradual climb in the share price from here until October, with investors anticipating possible fireworks and not wanting to miss the boat.

The next 3 months could be very interesting indeed :D

Lots of new posters here - some good and some otherwise imo.

If I and many long term holders have our way, things will come to a head within 6 to 12 months.

At what price ? ........... 80 to 100p per share is my guess.

Give me 80p now and I'll sell and I suspect that I'm not alone as I don't want to wait 5 to 10 years.

It's all been getting a little heated here today, but I can't honestly blame many of the contributors, as we proceed into the future wondering where this share and share price will go. Brings to mind an old adaage which goes something like .... round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows... credit to whoever first coined that phrase.

I would give general advice to well intentioned posters on here : don't live on a bulletin board morning noon and night as i did years ago. Sure it vents your spleen and (you think) lowers your blood pressure as a result. But guess what !!

.... It doesn't.

Chill and post whatever you like but don't take offence when someone calls you wrong - unless they are offensive, then ignore and report. And post less too imho.

BNc it's me who used to regularly post charts. I still refer to charts in all of my investment decisions but don'tt currently post them very often :D

Bozi i agree - i do tend to be positive when the SP is doing well, and negative when it's not. Normal investor emotions I'd have thought?

I don't routinely engage in knocking management but i will vent my frustrations from time to time when i see fit to do so. Every investor should be able to see the good, bad & ugly side of a company they are invested in imho.

Anyway, having vented my frustrations today, i shall now stop.

Yes of course we all have investment choices and one is to sell. Sorely tempted to sell as I am, I won't be doing so because I still cling onto the hope of 80p to £1 sooner rather than later.

I think any LTH will know you're talking nonsense, and anyone else can read my posting history.

A few posters desparately trying to stifle legitimate debate this morning it seems by going on the attack. It's not big and it's not clever. If people want to have a moan about the company's performance then it's their absolute right to do so without being shouted down and told to sell !

Thanks Quady I know you're a big believer in this going all of the way to production and I can see that logic. Clearly Mather wants that too. Were it to happen then judging by previous lack of meeting timeframes, we could be looking at 6, 7 or more years away ? That's a long time and as we all now painfully know, anything can happen in Ecuador!

A buyout at 80p to £1 is my favoured option and I hope it happens this year.

Who knows how this will play out, but I will be holding my chips all the way because I haven't held this long to then miss the eventual rewards whenever they come.
