hi to all invested here, i couldn't resist buying in today as the potential looks fantastic.Just gutted that i didn't jump in sooner after being tipped over on the SOLG board a few days ago.

Those Private Investors that think their CEO's always bat in their interests are deluded imho and from my experience of investing.

And so too as I've previously posted, a lack of news from a company rarely ends well for the PI's.

SOLG please make us proud !

hi Talatum - you're talikng sense there although I'd like a whole £1 because I reckon the big players won't be wanting to pay much more than that for a buyout.

hi KB, in theory I'm right there with you, but in reality, a resource is only worth what the highest-bidder is willing to pay for it : either by directly buying it or indirectly funding it via buying shares etc

hi BNc, imho it's just a matter of when the buyout comes and by whom ?

You'd have to say that BHP are the front runner's but Newcrest will clearly have some part to play and there is a possibility of some kind of Joint Venture between them. But I would guess that BHP would want to go it alone and will buyout SOLG & Newcrest.

Other interested parties would certainly shake things up and probably for the benefit of us PIs.

I would hazard a guess that it will all be done and dusted within 3 years?

But who knows ??

For those who still wonder what market cap is - it's the share price multiplied by the number of shares in issue

hi KB, please note that i did start my post by saying 'with respect' as i always try to be friendly unless speaking to trolls.

I simply don't believe the existing majors like BHP will allow SOLG to become another major - in competition with them.

addicknt, share price is surely relevant to me and you as shareholders?

with respect, £10 per share is ludicrous imho - it simply won't happen because at some point SOLG will be taken out and us private investors will have our shares bought.

I think we will do very well to achieve £1 per share

hi TheItalian, i tend to agree with you that things could have been handled differently.

hi Montecristo, i have the feeling that the share price has suffered particularly because investors / potential investors have come to the conclusion that the likelihood of a buyout has become less and less and there is an increasing probability that SOLG will go to production - with all of the delays you note in your med to long term hold comment.

Of course there are other factors too such as the court case last year and the shadow of future challenges in the same vein.

So too the newsflow drought which saps confidence.

I shall stay invested for the ride here because after 6 years i'm not going to allow myself to become worried enough or cheesed off enough to press the sell button.

All things being equal, i still think the med to long term reward outweighs the risk by some margin.

I see the closing price is significantly down.

Groan.

And still the rampers will almost certainly ramp.

As a current shareholder I like to remain bullish, but things need to be clarified by the BoD as to what's going on

We have freedom of speech in this country and that entitles folk to post their thoughts on bulletin boards like this - and long may it last !

But with that freedom comes responsibility for us posters to behave in a balanced way and to not start getting offensive towards anyone who disagrees with you.

Folk should think before they post (I'm speaking as someone who on occasion, has shown his 4rse too and regrets doing so).

Anyone invested here who's currently letting off steam and having a moan about the current share - while being well down on their buy-in price - has my sincere sympathies and I'm in that boat too.

What is not needed are other folk calling such posters derampers. A glance at the 3 month chart shows you the extent of the continued share price rot.

UKOG represents a fantastic dream that the UK can have a substantial onshore oil producer. All those invested can only hope that the dream stays alive and eventually comes good. The sheer number of posts on this board every day tells you of the interest in this project succeeding.

GL to those that continue to hold or buy and let's hope for good news soon and a turn around in fortunes here.

I want management to be focused on maximising shareholder value - simple as.

Shareholder value has fallen around 50% over around 7 months.

Do you think that's good ??

hi Bozi, you have your view on NEWSFLOW and fair play, but i suspect you'd be decimated if you put it up for consideration in a SOLG PRIVATE INVESTOR shareholder general election LOL

DreamBoatWarrior - with your number of posts you've likely seen it all, and surely you are sceptical about whether trades are buyes or sells ?

I've given up noticing these supposed big buys and sells because they very often fail to deliver imho
